Sooner or later today (if you haven't already) you'll receive emails from what appears to be Microsoft. The email will look something like this :
warning.jpg

DO NOT ! open the attachments that comes with.. It is nothing but a cleverly (very very actually) wrapped virus...

Aaarrghhh.. Sorry... Only tested it from the inside.. How 'bout now ?...

Nope... Being an IT Idiot / Admin it is my job to know this **** before the rest of you ;)

wow, thanks for the heads up...that looks really friggin official...its just a good thing that microsoft never sends you updates thru your damn email! haha red flag number 1 there

Yup.. Looks pretty damn M$ like (I was gonna put it as "Looks pretty damn good" but that and Microsoft didn't really go hand in hand)

That looks real...thanks for the heads up Flezzy.

I wish people would learn not to open attachments from users they do not know.

Yeah, good one Flerbizky.

For information, Microsoft never send unsolicited e-mails with attachments. Their messages also always have PGP signatures.

If Microsoft has an update they would use the same system they always have....it's called windows update....thats what it's there for....Nice scam tho ;)

while on the topic of viruses....i got a trojan while surfing kazaa....stupid ass people with nothing better to do....I also noticed something.....my antivirus has grown to over 550 megs! damn...thats alot of people with too much time on their hands...

 That is rather unequivocal; it is not from Microsoft (I mean, "functionality" isn't even a word), not to mention the superfluous bad grammar that emanates from that email makes it explicit that that email is not veracious.
:D
