Theres a issue with my cars, well a few. I decided to change my gear ratios up to 420(Max speed) on my C6, So I raced it and decided to put the original gear ratio which was 360. So I raced it, Top speed was 343! I decided to buy another C6 (because this had previously happend to my Aventador) tuned it with parts etc like my original C6 and it still tops at 343! any help.

The “real” top speed isn't the same as in the gear management, for some reason. I don't know if it's an error or not, but this is normal.

Yes I know, thats not the issue. My C6 topped at 380 with the gear ratio set to 360 (Max Speed). I changed it put it back too default, now it only tops at 343!

I believe you're using the fully customisable transmission. The standard-gear settings (the first setting when using FCT), is gone as soon as you edit anything, in the gear setup. It can't be returned to it's “original state”, by pressing the default-button. As before, - it's normal. I hope that answer's your question.

If you're running post 2.08 then you may seeing slower top speed because of the increased air resistance. Also the ride height might be interfering although I have no evidence to confirm that it's just that in real life a low car may induce ground effect and therefore add drag.

Opposite way round, if my memory is correct.

Lowering a car normally reduces drag because it reduces the effective frontal area. The improvement is small, however, around 3-4% reduction in drag.

Ground effect will normally increase the down-force generated and that always increases the drag coefficient of a car. Simply lowering the car does little to decrease the resistance force of the cars profile although I accept you may gain some improvement by minimising the high pressure bubble that builds between the ground and lower edge of the nose however I suspect that gain is more than eroded by the increased drag. I'm no fluid engineer so I'm not about to get into a heated debate and In truth I don't really think this has much bearing on the reduced top speed but as I don't know how PD implemented the algorithm for height adjustment I just thought it might be worth mentioning.

What are your downforce settings ? Since new update the higher your downforce the slower your top speed. I noticed this at Le Sarthe when 1 of my friends complained about his car being rubbish when in previous races his car was dominant. He uses high downforce.
