Hi all, was playing GT5 last night and a few things started to bug me. I've been a fan of the series since the very beginning and it's pretty much the only game that lives in my PS3. But when I was younger, playing GT2 was such a thrill, a time consuming process, each decision shaped what happened... If I tune this car, can I use it for this event or do I buy something else and what can I use this for etc etc. This was for two reasons I think, a) credits were hard to come by and b) we had more a-spec events, each with longer and more races in them.

So I miss this from GT5, I find it too quick and easy to master. A-spec is the heart of GT, and the fifth incarnation is not as good as I'd hoped for.

Another thing that bugs me, which I hope gets fixed with updates. The stutter on the chase cam you sometimes get and the fact that you can't delete the bloody DLC cars, making the game easier and less of a challenge! They should just ask if you would like to remove this car from your garage I.e. no money

Thanks

Even though this topic has been covered umpteen times before, how you decide to play GT5 determines the level of challenge and amount of satisfaction one gets from their accomplishments. If you feel that A-spec, or GT5 as a whole, is "too quick and easy to master" set parameters for oneself to limit your car's advantage, perhaps choose a tire that is well below the tires utilized by your opponents.

As for the DLC, I don't understand how the inability to delete DLC cars (from your garage) makes the game any less of a challenge. Simply don't use the DLC cars and you won't have a problem. Self control is a wonderful ability.

P.S. I am assuming you are referring to the free DLC cars since these are given to you regardless of your desire but if you are talking about purchasable DLC, don't buy it and you won't have a need to delete anything.

Yeah I completely see what your saying, I was just referring to GT5 compared to previous titles. I do find myself choosing cars or changing tyres to make it more of a challenge, but this misses the point in my opinion.

As for the DLC, again, see what your saying, but if I then wanted to buy a Scirocco or something, I'd end up with two in my garage and one would just lay to waste. Plus, it makes it hard to keep your garage organised etc, but that's just me being anal I guess haha.
