Little tip for launching at the drag strip

I think almost everybody holds down on the gas in the beginning of every race or drag run. This tip really doesn't matter in other races but it does in drag....well it starts from the startin line. Before the green light hits rev your RPM at 5 or 6 thousand rpm's, when greenlight is about to drop, hit the gas. The launch better then just holdin the gas........ Basically your RPM light and the greenlight are suppost to meet at the same time. You got to practice at to get it right. If u do it right u will see the differents in the time.

Surely this depends on the car, 6000rpm may be close to the redline on some cars but on others it might be very low, for example the Formula 1 car.
