Live For Speed... PC Games with DFP

Hi, I just got my Logitech Driving Force Pro Wheel today. Does anyone know how to set the control options properly for Live For Speed? I don't know how to set the gas/brake properly. Does DFP force feedback work with Live For Speed? What other racing Sims on PC work good with this wheel?

Go into the Logitech Profiler and under "Global Device Settings" uncheck "Report combined petals" :)

I played LFS last night, it was fun :).

Don't forget to go to: www.wingmanteam.com and download the 4.60 drivers, as you need them to have FF with the DFP in the PC (if I'm not completey wrong :ouch: :ouch: ).

What's the Report Combined Pedals thing do? It worked when I unchecked it. In Live For Speed, it doesn't seem like braking helps much; it's better to just let go off the gas. Does the game support 900 degrees? I tried it but it felt like there was a lot of "dead zone"?

you can set your degrees of rotation too

the thing to keep in mind is that ALL cars in gt4 use 30degrees of lock, while pc games generally use 15-20

so in GT4 (what the wheel is made for) using around 400degrees of rotation is the same as going all the way to the lock in most pc games

thats a long way of saying, set your wheel to around 400degrees for starters and adjust to your liking from there :)

also quite a few games require you to reverse the ffb settings (gtr, gtl, rfactor)

*edit*

report combined pedals uses 1 axis for both pedals, meaning you cant apply both at the same time (left foot braking is impossible)

its a compatability thing for older ps2 games

GTR, GTL, RBR , Toca race driver 2, Insane and FlatOut are the pc race games I use(d) and they work perfectly with the DFP!!!! But I don't use the pedals from the DFP. I use the speed7 pedals with clutch in combination with the DFP (only with GTR and GTL).

I don't have PS2 so sadly, I won't be playing Gran Turismo with this. I got it just for PC games. 15-20 degrees? The lowest degree it goes to is 40.

Does anyone know how to get the shifter to work with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2? It won't detect it. And the wheel feels way tooo loose in this game. When I select the profile with Logitech Profiler, the wheel doesn't feel loose anymore, but my game seems to slow down along with it. I have no idea why. It works fine with NFS Underground 2 and Most Wanted but I can't get it to work with Hot Pursuit 2. Anyone know?!

15-20 degrees. ==> This is correct!! You can even go below 15 degrees. It has nothing to do with the DFP but all with the setup of the cars ==> how far the wheels of a car turn from left to right and vice versa, ofcourse :dopey: .

There is a difference between steer lock (DFP) and wheel lock (wheels of the car)
You can change the degrees from you steering wheel (DFP from 40 till 900) and in realistic racing sims the lock of the wheel (depends on what kind of car you're driving).
