Livery editor questions

Couple of things i've noticed, first one being I can only paint the whole car in carbon! I want to be able to paint individual pieces, is this possible? Second thing is I can't find an opacity feature. I'd like to tint my windows but can only cover them :( How do I adjust opacity?
 
Anyone else have this problem with opacity of decals not saving correctly?
I try and get very specific color and specularities for certain cars. So I'll apply say a silver, then put a decal across the car with a lowered opacity to get the correct colour i want. Looks good in the preview, in the GT Auto car customization. But the uploaded icon and in game the hood and the body don't match, where the hood won't have the proper decal opacity at all or vice versa with the body.

I've never seen this talked about and im' curious if it only happens on some cars.
doing this for the 8C and having issues as well with an older Ferrari.
Also have a Lamborghini Anniversario lavender that i use the same technique and works perfectly fine.

Any help would be great. And yes, I've double and triple checked decal opacity settings and re done the liveries from scratch. Same issues.

This is what it looks like. As you can see in the preview the colours are correct. But in the thumbnails are not the same. And that's how the car looks when you drive now.
In the thumbnail, you can see that the side of the body and the hood are different colours.
Just wondering if anyone else has come across this.

Is your base paint a special colour?

A while ago, I had a bug with a special colour, the hood was white out of the livery editor, I fixed it by applying the paint one body part at a time rather than the whole body.
 
Wow, that seemed to fix it perfectly. Thanks very much. I thought I had done this, at least remade the car once. I had to change out all the chips to different paints and then reinput them all separately. Did the trick. Excited about this. Still curious as to why it seems to not happen on some cars as I do this a lot.
