Mazda MX-5 Cup on for a full hour following coverage of the CASCAR Super Series from Mosport (which I'll be watching, LOVE Mosport... but I digress) figure this will be some pretty exciting racing. CASCAR starts in about 40 minutes, and MX-5 Cup follows immediately afterwards (two races, Laguna and Lime Rock.)

EDIT: Not exactly what I expected... that's all I'm gonna say.

Meh, I thought Laguna was exciting only because I was excited to watch the series. Way too much contact for my liking, kind of a European Touring Car or NASCAR feel to it what with all the contact. I found myself getting pissed off at the drivers for doing stupid things. As for Lime Rock, it was just boring. Thought it would be a little higher quality, more like a one make World Challenge series in terms of the action. I think after Laguna the officials were keen on lowering the number of incidents, and with the exception of the incident that took the entire final corner to work out and ended in one car over the barriers and his teammate, TEAMMATE beside him they succeeded. Did have good points. Spec racing requires very good race craft to pass, and though most passes seemed to be done with a little bit of bump drafting to help, some passes were quite good. I guess that was not all I had to say...

LMES on Speed is pathetic

First there is the annoying announcer

Then he proceeds to spend 10 minutes of the 60 minute show recaping the last LMES race

Next, he spends 10 minutes of the 60 minute show interviewing drivers.

Next, 10 minutes of the show is devoted to practice.

Next, 10 minutes of the show is devoted to qualifying.

The last 15 minutes is spent on the actual race, and most of the footage is pistops, spins or interviews.

Worst thing they did was focus so little on the actual race.

They shouldnt show us some highlights months after the race but rather the entire 1000km race LIVE.

Probably just like with the JGTC a few years back...they paid bottom dollar for the only English commentary they could "find" and threw it out there to bait us. Ugh. At least the FIA GT and the BTCC shows on Speed have been entertaining.
