I'm fairly happy about it. It only seems right that the people who purchased the Collector's Edition deserve the Chromeline cars.

no, it didn't say that.
it says "Considering the hundreds of bitter complaints prompted by announcement of the free Christmas gifts, though, many of you should be very happy with how the situation turned out."

and if you click the link made of the words "hundreds of bitter complaints" you'd know what the author was talking about.

fact is, a lot of people who shelled out the extra cash for the Collector's Edition felt a little cheated at the announcement (at the time when it was thought this was a world-wide thing) because a bit of what they paid extra for was seemingly being given away very close to the release of the game.

grow up.
 
Honestly I feel somewhat indifferent about this situation. Yeah it sucks but at the same time, it's not like as if they were giving away anything special like a McLaren F1 or something of that nature. I wouldn't complain about this because chances are, you're probably far enough in the game to be able to afford the regular version of the cars they were gifting.
 
I didn't buy the CE for the DLC. It's assumed that the DLC would eventually be in the PSN Stores anyway. The EXTRAS is what makes the special editions stand out.

of course it will be.
but being just a month after release is what got folk so up-in-arms about it.

the 5 extra cars was part of the deal when people paid the extra $40. i'm not certain you can blame a person for being upset over the situation that never happened.
 
I think others have summed up the main issue well 👍

And if you actually carefully read that news post, you'll see that it was not posted by PD or a representative of PD. That news post didn't reflect their opinions at all...
 
To the OP, if you paid 100 bucks for the collectors edition then you would be thinking twice about your post. I am glad they didn't gift the few things that makes my version of GT5 unique.

not just that, if you pay 300$$ for sig edition, you might see why alot of GT fans here see different...... not only that these poor players are forced to use B spec and not enjoy the game for what it really is.......
