Loading indefinitely.....

Since Spec. 2.0 my game has crashed a couple of times, and the same happened each of the times.

I get to the loading screen, and normally the "loading bar" starts slowly.. and then suddenly jumps to the end - and then you can see the track. You all know that. However, it has happened to me two times since 2.0, that the loading bar fills very slowly all the way to the end, it doesn't jump - and then nothing happens. It keeps loading, and the screen doesn't change. At the same time the moving line in the top of the screen with the participating cars stutters a bit. I have waited at this screen for minutes. My only option is to quit the game to the XMB.

I am not saying that this is because of Spec. 2.0 - I can't know that - but it has never happened before Spec. 2.0.

Have something similar happened to any of you?

That used to happen to me BEFORE spec 2.0

The loading bar would go super slow, for like 1 minute, then JUMP to the end

hasnt happened since spec 2.0, actually, the track loads instantly then i have to wait for the cars to load

Maybe try reinstalling and updating the game.
 
Okay - I am not alone then

Anyone else with this problem?
 
Yep very same issue three times now. The new settings window will not come up as should with spec 2.00. It just keeps the blue bar up then when completely full stays there with the car list stuttering as said above. Hopefully this will be fixed soon as u need to turn off the machine entirely when this happens. And that was various A spec races for me..
 
Ive been fine since yesterday on 2.0 where i had about 3 crashes,usually loading up a practice session at spa,i thought my ps3 might be going,but i guess not.
 
Never had problem until today, very very slow going from one menu to another? Wtf?
 
It's happened to me a few times, or I have been stuck for a long time on the black screen with a GT logo pulsing, or not loading correctly since the update.

I posted about this problem yesterday.
Glad I'm not the only one. At least I know it's not my console.
It must be software. I think it's the new PS3 software I downloaded the other day.

I think it's fair to conclude now, that it's a bug - but I don't think it has something to do with the PS3 firmware. It is probably Spec. 2.0.
 
Loading is slow at times on mine... took 5 plus minutes the other day at the "Gran Turismo 5" logo screen.... then hit me with a server error message... was able to play "offline" but couldnt play any of the seasonal's etc
 
Every time you return to playing gt5, reset your ps3. I used to freeze every day. Now It only freezes on me like once a week. Try it!
 
I've just realized gt5 slowed down after I did the non mandatory psn update yesterday, could that be the problem? Anyone else had slowdown and freezing after psn system update?

Possible. :boggled:

I am getting now sometimes hangs when I f.e. try to enter a car via the triangle button (up to 30-60 seconds maybe). And checking ingame profiles, sending items or loading a online race is also very slow. :yuck:

Maybe it is non mandatory because of that & we are the beta testers. :dunce:
 
It (#1) has just happened here again. I hoped that 2.01 had fixed it, but no.
 
I have loading issues with gt5 screens freezes forages and game takes quite a while to load spoke to Sony they are not interested as it's not there game third party issue contact polyphony digital but noon seems to gave number for English speaking
