Loading issue/jam.

Hi Guys,

I have just had to re-start GT5 due to the dreaded YLOD!! :(
Last night I was trying to work through some of the lower events. When I entered the Clubman Championship (Tsukuba, R246 & Whatever the other race is) I'm starting in position 7, but when the race is loading (when the car names are changing from grey to white) it gets to my car and stops!!
The only way I can get out of this is to quit the whole game!

Is anybody else having similar issues?
Or will this be fixed in the new update?

I'd be grateful for the input.

Never heard of that problem before. It's possible your data is somehow corrupted due to the YLOD assuming you are still using the same console after repairing it. I might suggest re-installing the game data. You won't lose any progress. If that doesn't work, again, perhaps the disc itself got damaged in some way when the ps3 YLOD'd.
 
I had to go and buy another PS3. :( I tryed to fix it once before (Hairdryer in the back) and it worked for about 3 weeks, but has now gone again.

I installed the update, and all is good now.

Not a problem.

And sorry to hear that. Always sad to see a ps3 die. I had one of the old 60gb original ones, and I repaired it...3 times I think, with about 3 months or so between each YLOD. Eventually had to give up on the thing and get a new model.
