Lobby issues

Okay I know Turn Ten have said they are working on it but for *$%@ get a move on. I spent an hour failing to get into a club race tonight. I look forward to this, life has to be organized so I can race with my club friends and that is supposed to be what sets this game above the rest. Car Clubs and all that brings.

What makes it worse is I could get into Hoppers, CPL's but could I get into the Lobby where my friends were racing? No.

Please get it sorted, I have spent a lot of money with this franchise every game DLC's a Fanetic Wheel and pedals and what do I get? a substandard excuse for an online experience

:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Yeap three copy's of the LSE £170 and cant race my m8s. Takes 30mins of clicking then get rubber banding, lagging, floating cars, some half under ground, double gear shifts... Sucks. I'm just sticking to painting and off line races and getting my mate race fix on the pc.

The GamePOD cup starts soon, looks like that is out the window for me :banghead:

I race 14 people from half around the globe every week, what you need is at least a cable connection with 1M of upload in my experience.

Lots of people with fast, reliable internet have issues with this game online...including me. My internet isn't the fastest in the world, but it's good enough for the other games I play online to work properly...the Forza 4 online experience is terrible for myself and many others....much worse than what is acceptable for me anyway.

Turn Ten themselves acknowledge there is a problem, I have a half decent connection that works for every aspect of the online experience except this one. So the problem is not with me.

There is a massive thread about this on Forzamotorsport.net. I have played with people that have 50 megs download and 5 megs upload that still have issues with this lobby connection or lobby freezing. Its totally random too. Whats really strange is that I can play with my nephew and he only has 5 megs down 1 meg up and its rare I ever have issues with him. Yet playing with people that have 50 megs down 5 megs up, I can have issues. I have 25 megs down 3 megs up and its really hit and miss. I think its more to do with routers not being compatible with other routers.

There's the problem. Or at least close to the root of it. I'm pretty sure that alot of people don't have their routers setup correctly for optimum use of the 360. At the same time you shouldn't have to have a degree in comp. sci. in order to get this to work as an end user.

I'm not sure this is the problem. If my router is not setup correctly for the 360 then why don't I have any problems with any other games I play online? :confused:
