This is pure immersion -
Le Mans is cool but the Female French track announcer on the loud speakers adds so much.

Now it would be tough to put everything in, But it would be simple enough to get a Few Relevant voice actors in a room to record a few phrases.

In First place is the ...
Up into 2nd is the ...
Followed closely by the...
Slipping back is the ...
A crash with the...
Impact with the barrier, I think it was the ...
A New Fastest lap by the ...
The gap is closing between the... (and the...)

and so on

Then a few variations of the team name
McLaren, Ferrari, Datsun, Aston Martin, MG, Alfa Romeo, etc.

Maybe even a few Colours

Bolt it together and...

Second place is the Green Lotus.

Parsing - it isn't a new thing.

By using the car brands you avoid the Drivers names and in most races the grid has a good combination of cars. (Though it would be hilarious to listen to a Murray Walker style "Each car is unique apart from the car behind, which is identical!" if all the cars are the same car manufacturer.)

It would add flavour as you drive the race and pass a grandstand and hear the "live commentary" blast out in an eager passionate voice - which is local to the country

"Questo è l'ultimo giro...
"Ceci est le dernier tour...

English, Australian, Americanese, French, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Belgian, Japanese
It would also let PD choose a country to host various Fantasy tracks
No driver names.

It would translate to Online races as the language is fixed to the track and the car brands rather than silly online names, Genitals Button, Nick O'Rosberg, Crashtor Maldonado, et alia; which would jar.

Maybe a huge cheering crowd too. - which would counter point if you are in a part of a circuit with no grandstands.

Of course a Podium with a few national anthems would be nice too.
perhaps limit this to being very much in the background as the game shovels credits at you for the win. Or only at the end of a championship. Longer race 30 minute plus.

...Yeah, why not.
Kinda like in WWE games, with Cole, JBL, Lawler and Co., right? That might work. Although, there's a plenty of room for this to go down the Corny Route to Unintentional Laughtersville.

It's not meant to be TV style or in the mold of the old 1990's F1 games from Psygnosis but the Public Address system of the track informing the thousands of people in the crowd.

In fact it may be best on the grid bit of the race - Having a "Local accent" at the start of a race will seep into the players head -
Rather than it being - Another track - - it is that one with atmosphere

34 minutes 30 seconds in - No idea what the track announcer is saying - but you can tell it isn't the pit lane at Watkins Glen or Bathurst.

That sort of distant announcer with a hint of echo to it.
