Sebastien Loeb has broken his arm in a bicycling accident, and will miss the Rally of Turkey, and possibly other events depending on recovery time.
Not sure if it will affect the drivers championship, but it could have a big impact on the manufacturers race which was already tight.

If he is only out for Turkey its unlikely to make a difference to the drivers championship, Loeb would need to score 0 points in the last four rounds and Gronholm would need score 35 points to win (say three wins and a third place at least).

If however he is out for more than one rally or it seriously effects his performance for the rest of the year then Gronholm does have a fighting chance.

This is certainly going to make things very interesting for the last four rounds.

And who's replacing him?

None other than 95 champ Colin McRae..
👍

Yeah, they'd better order some spare panels for the Xsara now....

Maybe Citroen is just trying to answer the age old question. "How much will citroens costs increase if McRae drives and Loeb doesn't???"

Cycling accident... lmao... was he miandering down a hill wearing his Red and white stripped shirt, shorty shorts and Jandals, looking really gay, when his brakes went out??? lol

SOLBERG SOLBERG SOLBERG!!!
SUBARU SUBARU SUBARU!!!

Hope Colin does well. If he keeps it on the road he'll have a good chance as the citroen seems to be the car at the moment.
