Jordan how come the log in thing has changed? Before I would always log in on the frontpage, I liked this because it was secure.

However now I just click on My GTplanet and I'm logged in? If I'm posting in College this is not good cause anyone could go to History find GTPlanet and start posting on my log in?

Alex, in your Profile Options, you can set your account to not"Automatically Log In". It's in with the options like "Browse with cookies". Just unheck the button and it should prompt you to log in the first time you come on.

As neon duke has already pointed out, set the "Automatically login when you return to the site? (uses cookies)" option to "no" in your account options.

I just have the automatic log-in at home because i don't have to worry about signing in :)

Hmm, i don't think my options changed...

strange? Cause I know for a fact that I had it turned off before, then GTP5 came along and it must have reset?

And Jordan why is there no log in box on the main page?

Oh yea and one more thing I have changed my setting back so I have to log in but I really don't expect to have to log in frequently?

Earlier today I logged in then looked at a post, repled to it and had to log in again

This is very annoying when you lose like a whole post that's been typed out, do I really have to copy and paste my posts before submitting or can this problem be fixed?

That option was never changed when GTP5 came along.

There is, look in the bottom right-hand corner.

Have you tried my suggestions in this thread?

That used to happen to me (having to log-in quite often) but hasn't happened for a while now :D

Jordan I think having the log in at the bottom right hand side of the page is weird cause I bet most members don't even scroll down because the forum link is at the top of the page?

It's how it's always been alex! Oh, and you might want to re-evaluate your usage of question marks. :)

errr I'll continue to use my question marks to encourage people to post in replying to questions or statements.

And I still think it's plain stupid to have the log in box hidden down there and not even bothering to have one on the front page?

It's faulty punctuation, period.

Because... ?

Well It's nice to sign in on the main page?

And I don't think me putting question marks here and there is a major concern now is it? Now I was asking you a question there snoop..;)

I usually just browse straight to https://www.gtplanet.net/forum :) So it isn't exactly an issue for me.

It's just one of those things you'll have to learn to live with, alex. And be honest, it's not that big a deal now is it? ;)

Oh, you're talking about the main website, not the forum home page! In that case, as you have noticed there isn't a log-in form in the new template, because I decided to use a bit more descriptive and specific links for that area instead. Using the old form on the old website was not any more secure, as you were probably already logged in when you entered your information into that form (those pages were not dynamic and you would see the log-in form regardless of whether or not you were actually logged in to your account).
