I just bought the Logitech force feedback wheel 5 days ago, great! - But I found it very hard keeping up with my old Dual Shock laptimes.
I think this is a general problem, because the wheel turns slower to the full left / right, than the controller.
BUT, I do not have that problem anymore!!!
So in case that some of you might have the steering wheel tucked away under your bed, or some place worse, get it out again, and wipe off the dust, because you don't want to use your controller again!!!
It is all in the calibration of the wheel..
At the main screen, go all the way down to options -
GT force calibration -
(here comes the cool part)
at the "Turn wheel fully from left to right" DO NOT turn it fully left or right, (90 degrees each way) BUT instead turn it only about half way (45 degrees) left / right.
That way the green "calibration" bar will only have about half of its normal size...
You might want to do the same thing with the pedals, or (as I do) press the gas normally, and the brake about halfway down..
THAT'S IT !!!
Now try out your new settings, and within a few laps you'll be keeping up with your ghost, or even bettering it..
You might want to calibrate your wheel a few times, to get the calibration just right..
Hope it helps you
