Login bonus problem.

I have been experiencing problems with my login bonus. I log in and play every day. Yet my bonus seems to keep jumping about from 3 days back to 2 days. I should be at 5 days or 200% by now easily. Last nigt i was at 3 days. Just there now i booted up the game and its back down to 2 days. Not completly bothered. Just a bit confused and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I'm not sure if the ideas we gave him worked out, but the gist of it is to be sure you're saving once you've made the login bonus. It sounds as if you're completing some parts of the game once you've received, which makes your case a little confusing.

Are you literally logging in daily, same account, similar time, every day? The cutoff time to flip to the next day is around 4 am GMT, if I'm not mistaken. In other words, a day does not start and end at midnight, it starts and ends at around 4 am for you.

Thanks for the help. I will make sure i save the next time. I only logged in last night but did not race and then logged back out so i think that may be the problem right there. Cheers.

No problem. The secret is to save after seeing the main menu screen before leaving the game.

Cheers con, that seems to have sorted the problem. On days i couldn't race, i was quickly logging in and then leaving again, completely forgetting to save. Anyway. Problem solved.
 
Hrm, I've been having the same problem. My game crashed out as I was quitting 3 nights ago. At that point, I should have been at 170%. The next night I logged in and it was at 150%, which I attributed to the crash. I definitely forced it to save after the 150% and quit successfully. Last night I logged in and it was at 130%. I forced the save again and quit with no trouble. We'll have to see if it is at 110% tonight.
 
At first i thought it was because i wasnt saving but the other night, my bonus jumped from 170 down to 110. Confused because i have definatly been logging in and saving.
 
I have the same problem.

I logged in 3 days in a row now, and today I logged in literally just now and was back to day 1 bonus.
Not that I really care about it that much, but it's there and it's annyoing that it's not working properly.
 
I had a similar problem. I swear I log in every day, but I didn't notice something was wrong until I received prize credits at 170%. Could be that I didn't save the previous day, but I thought you kept your bonus regardless. Just thought it was strange going from 200% to 170%. Thought it should reset to 110% if you missed a day.
 
I was at 5-days yesterday, but when I logged in today, one of my profiles was at 3-days and another was at 2-days.
 
Yesterday I logged in and got 150%. Then logged out immediately. Today... 110%. And I had the same problem before. Should be at 200%. First time I thought maybe I was confused and had actually forgot to login the day before, but today I'm sure I logged in yesterday, so I think it was the same the other time. Will make sure I play at least one race before logging out the next days...

And no, it isn't supposed to reset if you forget one day, it's supposed to go down 1 day. This way, if you have 170% today and don't login tomorrow, I suppose you go down to 150%, then 130% the next day (but then, if you login, you go back up to 150%). If you didn't login 2 straight days, on the third you would have 130%. And I am pretty sure about this as I can't login everyday, even though I try, but sometimes I have to travel and stuff so I've been forced to skip a day or 2 sometimes. Gt5 was the same. If I was at 200% and skipped 2 days I would go to 150% when logging in on the third day, and so on.

Mine's all over the place too! I guess it's just another bug.
 
I had a 200% bonus, but the last 5 days I've been logging in and the percent has been going down
 
It's going to suck if they fix this "bug" and the majority who have no issues with login bonuses, will be reset or worse.
 
Well I been logging in every day since the login bonuses started and I never had a problem with it. So you guy's must be doing something really wrong and you would think if it was a glitch every player would have a problem with it.
 
Agree with @hall90 , it's an oversight in the implementation of login bonuses but as long as you understand what the issue is then it's one that is easily overcome.

I've read quite a few posts about the remedy for this and most of them are a bit excessive and some may not even guarantee that you keep your bonus!

The issue is caused because GT6 does not save the moment you click on the login bonus notice and therefore does not register the fact in your game save.

Entering a race will not guarantee a save and it's here that I think some folks are falling foul. The best way to make sure you don't lose your bonus is to follow these steps every time you go into the game before you do anything else;

1) Log into game (ensure you are logged into the PSN)
2) Click the login bonus notification
3) Press the start button or navigate to the menu (top right of screen)
4) Select save
5) Wait until save has completed (very important!)
6) Quit game or go do whatever else you wanted

I've been doing this every single day on both of my active GT6 profiles regardless of whether I was going to run some races or not and have never lost a login bonus since.

...but don`t worry, Polyphony seems to be trying hard to fix the "this bug is so annoying" issue...
...and one day all of us will get used to the bugs and feel deeply annoyed when something (anything) works properly in the game.

Another thing to double check is that you're logged into PSN. I may have overlooked that, as sometimes it signs me out for unexplained reasons.

If it is a bug how come I have not got it yet. And some players are just not doing it correctly.

Not surprising.
Some of the bugs in the game act randomly (as a example, the "replay bug" or the "stockyard bug").
So far, you were lucky with this one, simple as that.
 
@MonSpaNur I had the issue just after the login bonus was introduced and it was driving me nuts watching my bonus decrease each day even though I knew I was logging in every day! I realised (at least I believe I realised) what the problem was and implemented my regime outlined in my earlier post..have never lost a bonus since 👍
