Login doesn't actually log in

On my home PC and my laptop I have the check box checked to remember me, but at work or at a friend's house I'll log in, see the "Thanks" window, but when the forum screen reappears I'm still not logged in. Ads, can't post, etc.

I think I've narrowed it down to this sequence: If I log in at the GTP Forums main page, before selecting a forum, it works OK. If I proceed to a forum, then log in, it doesn't work, even if I go back to the main forum list page. I have to close and restart IE, log in at the first page, and it's OK. This happens at any PC I've tried.
 
Hmmmm, I can't seem to replicate this problem. What are your Privacy settings in IE (Tools > Internet Options > Privacy Tab > Settings)?
 
The machine I'm on right now is at Medium on privacy settings. I'm sure it varies, because it does this anywhere I've been lately. Nothing to really worry about, just odd. I can get around it when i need to just by restarting IE. Haven't tried with another browser. In your place I wouldn't worry about it, just thought if it was something simple and obvious that needed to be looked at, you might want to know. It reduces my enjoyment of GTPlanet by maybe .03% :sly:
