Hey, I have had the G27 for a year (Christmas 2010) And I have loved every minute of it, I have had no real mechanical issues at all.. the only Problem/Complaint I have for it is as follows, If you have a pet of some sort ( I have a German Shephard ) The pet hair can get on your socks, and from there, get into the pedal system. Now you wouldn't think there would be that much getting in there.. Open the bottom of the pedals up, and you will realize you were wrong about that.
Symptoms:
Symptoms include the Breaks engaging when you aren't on them.. Same can Happen with gas pedal, they only engage about 5% on the bar that shows how much are you using the break/gas. The Clutch will never be affected by this issue due to the fact that the Clutch needs to be pushed a lot further to be used.
How To Fix:
These Issues can be fixed by opening up the bottom of the pedals (this does not Void any warranty, you will most likely notice all the hair and dust in the area below the opening for the pedals to get through. Use a Q-Tip, and Tweezers to get the hair out of the area that the sensors are found, a Dust Removal Can (compressed air blower) will Work as well. 👍
Hope this helped if you find your self in this situation in the future!
