logitech 27 please help....

hey guys how is every one doing , today and finally i got a driving wheel the logitech 27 im a fan of gran turismo games since gt1 on ps1 and i have never tryed a driving whee before :) and WoW the game is damn much fun with wheels!! how ever i have 2 issues so far and keep note that i dont know how to drive manual in real life ( clutch and shift ) maybe GT5 will teach me now ^_^ anyway my issues are :

1) the wheels sometimes shake and keep turning a bit to the left and right while im driving in straight lines is this normal or do i have to do some setting for the wheels ?

2) since i have no experience in manual driving in real life when u come to a corner from a high speed on the 6th gear and u want to shift back to the 2nd gear to make the corner do u guys go through all the gear shifts ? like 6th-5th-4th-3rd till the 2nd or do u just shift from 6th to 2nd ?

and could i have few tips to improve my racing with the wheels :)

1) i've never had this in GT5 but I had it in GTP so i'm not sure
2) I go through all the gears heel toeing because it also helps slow the car down

Also if you dont know already you need to calibrate the brake pedal evey time you turn on GT5.
To calibrate you need to enter a race and just slam on the brake straigh away and then your done.

1. Yes on some cars. You just need to hold on to the steering wheel to keep the car straight.
2. Yes I go through all the gears when down shifting. I even do it in real life driving.
 
a question. if u use manual do u need clutch?
 
I don't find it necessary to downshift, you can slow down from say 150 (in 6th gear) to 40 (to make a turn) and once you get to that 40 mph you can shift then to 2nd or 1st depending on your car. I think downshifting just slows you up more than necessary.
 
You need to press the shifter down, as in go into neutral, press down from the top, then go into 6th.

nop the wheels also have F1 shifting like the ferraris but i prefere clutch its more fun :)

you can also only use the gearbox without the clutch. when you hit the clutch it´s activated. if you hit one of the shifters the clutch is off again.
 
thanks all im getting better and better at this :) wished i used wheels since GT1 if they were existeded
