Logitech Driving Force EX seems stiff. And way to configure?

I got a Logitech Driving Force Ex for my father to use on GT6.
He says it is ok, but a bit stiff to turn.

It's an old wheel and I can't find much information online. and wondered if there are any settings that can be change on the wheel, on the PS3, or in game to make the wheel lighter?

You can find this setting in Options -> Steering Controller -> Steering Characteristics -> Force Feedback Max. Torque. There's ten levels.

Is the lowest level the easiest steering, and the highest level the stiffest steering ?
I ask because I am not at my Fathers place at the moment, and will need to give him advice over the internet.

Yes. It is found in the game, accessible right after loading. Also when a track is loaded it can be adjusted, before actually driving.

I managed to sort it out with my Dad over Skype.
I was unsure the wheel would react to such changes due to it's age, but it did!
