I recently got my driving force gt wheel and I have been starting to get a good feel of it and I have been wondering what wheel settings others may use. I can't drift at all with the wheel it is very difficult and I'm just looking for some setting set ups for racing vs. drifting with this wheel.

I currently only play on simulation type with ffb on 4-10 with power assisted steering set on. I am going to try out higher ffb since I know 4 is weak, but when I race sometimes I lose it from too much oversteer I can never correct it fast enough which is why I had it set at 4.

I also find it a lot easier to race with racing softs with a car that is very aerodynamic, less grip and low aero seem to have less control but maybe I need more practice :dunce:

For good practice catching slides (rather than out and out drifting) try low powered rwd cars on comfort tyres. When they go, it's much more progressive. The new Toyota 86 is a good example.

As for drifting, some of the top drifters resort to the trusty old DS3, so I wouldn't worry too much.

as far as i can remember simulation type doesnt matter or account for nothing using dfgt. drifting worked for me with ffb turned to 5 and power steering on. u need to b able to spin wheel with ease with out to much of a fight. most important is ur car set up but u should b able to drift resonably good with any rear wheel drive beast.then tweak away

It may sound stupid but do these wheels work for other driving games, like nfs, modnation, ect. I want one but I hate to buy it for just 1 game.

Yes, they do. I can't really play many racing games without the wheel, NFS included. :)

The stock Tamora on comfort hards is a really good car for wheel-drifting practice. Or at least that's how I'm currently practicing with the wheel.
