I found nothing when I searched, since this is somewhat of a unique question. I really want a DFP for GT4, and have limited space, so I'm thinking about ordering an ACT-LABS Wheel Racing Stand.

So, my question is simple and to the point, will the DFP successfully mount onto this product from ACT-LABS?

The item I'm referring to can be found in this link:

Yes, it is certainly on the pricey side, however, I plain out suck at making things myself, and am very limited for space (which is why this product is so attractive as it can be stored flat against a wall).

And please do not move this thread mods, I understand that this fits more into the PS2 section of this forum, however, the DFP (in my eyes) is more directly linked to GT4 at the moment, so I felt it was more appropriate to post it here :)

Thanks guys, the only reason I ask is because I have never used a DFP, so I do not know how it mounts to a table (I used to own a Logitech MOMO Force, does it mount like that?).

Thanks guys :)

it might be cheaper to play it on your PC Monitor, just a suggestion, cus thats what im probably going to do.
I'm either gonna buy a cheap Video Capture card or do that other thing that sounds less expensive.. i forget what the hardware's called.

If you do buy that though, tell us what you think of it. 👍

You could do a search though, because im pretty sure i saw a discussion like this before.

The DFP mounts similarly to a MOmo, maybe exactly. It has two hook securement thingies that grip it to the bottom of the table. they can be tightened accordingly.

I would, however, I have a laptop, and my TV is essentially an arms-length away, so it's pretty pointless.

I did a search, of course (I've been a member for quite some time now, so I have the common sense to do so :)) but didn't come up with anything specific to what I am looking for.

Basically, all I would like to know is, how it mounts to a table? Is it the same way that the MOMO Force did? (with the vice-like arms and turn-wheel method) or does it mount a different way?

EDIT: Sorry, must have over-looked the last part of your message, thank you for the info :)

honestly if your looking for comments on hookups like that you might wanna check out PC sim forum while your waiting for replays. like Bhmotorsports.com or rscnet.org

:EDIT"" that wheel station looks pretty cool, but im so cheap i think i just might make my own if it comes to it. :EDIT::

That looks like a good solution as well. However, my only quarrel with it is that (not saying it's cheap at all) but it probably isn't as sturdy as the ACT-LABS steel tubing setup (and I mean sturdy as in resistant to tipping from side to side with aggressive use of the steering wheel).
I've used ACT-LABS products before, and was extremely happy with them, so I believe, even though I'm getting punished on the pricing, I will be happy with it :)

Well, I truly thank you guys for responding in such due fashion :)
I ordered the DFP from Logitechs site (had a 20% discount from registering another product) and I ordered the ACT-LABS stand (yes it is expensive, but I'm sure it will be well worth it).
Once I receive these items, I'll post a review or something on it (or at least some pics of it)
:)
