Hi everyone. I've stumbled on a VERY unpleasant problem. I can't reverse anymore with my G25. I used to be able to press-shift-6 go to reverse but it stopped working for me. Normally the triangle button used to work aswell but now it doesn't anymore. Clutch and then shift to reverse registers as speed 6 aswell :S Anyone familiar with this problem? It's VERY annoying and I already lost countless online races because of this. It used to work just fine until last week. It's a shame the G25 isn't officialy supported because I can't find settings for any shifter or pedals in the options menu.

Does this help:

Try not using your clutch to check to see if you can reverse(You might have broken a wire in the shifter) Google G25 shifter mod to see some hints on working on it.You can also try programming reverse to a different button. READ picture where it says to use DFP in menu

Even when you push down (toward the floor), then down and to the right slowly it still won't go in reverse? Did you try a different car? Did you try unplugging the power and USB to G25, then unplugging ALL connections under wheel base, plugging them all back in.. jiggling them a little to make sure they're tight and then plug in the power to G25, then USB to PS3, then turn PS3 back on?

Then re-assign the buttons again in GT5 control panel. That's what I'd do. I have two G25s, got them the year they came out. One is new still, one heavily used, still kicking.. perfectly.

umm there isn't a control panel for G25? or is there? o.O i haven't found it on mine ps3 but if is there id be really happy that i could re-assing the buttons...

Read thread maybe the one I posted about 3 posts up would help you.

Thanks for the tips everyone but it's still not settled :S. Shifter still refuses to change to Reverse. Only Triangle does the trick. What's more is that I can't change the force feedback level for my G25. I just received my first X2010 by reaching Lv35. When taking this car for adrive it resulted in a broken plate that was vibrated of of my desk because it's practically weight lifting I'm doing trying to steer the X2010. And the feedback is so LOUD and annoying with this car. Even when turning low speed the steer makes the sound of some tools getting eaten by a heavy duty machine. I don't have this problem with any other car, just with the X2010 because the specific power output is so high.

There is an option in the settings menu to adjust the force feedback level, but there is no difference in Lv1 or Lv10 which I think is because the G25 isn't officialy supported.

COME ON POLYPHONY! Get some f-ing drivers for the G25 will ya?

Did you read ANYTHING we wrote? I have two G25s. Force feedback works and adjusts fine in GT5.

G25 shifters break all the time with heavy use. All it takes is someone who isnt gentle enough. I would just take it apart if you have some mechanical knowledge. It could be a solder repair or something similar. I know Logitech will not consider this warranty work.

If it's under a year old I bet Logitech would replace it- even if it was just purchased a year ago. I got a very early G25 that had loud gears and Logitech sent me a bran new one. Now I have two, onw quiet one, and one perfectly functional but louder one. Not just the wheel either, new box with everything in it.

My G25 is just past 1 year warranty. Thanks for trolling me up BWX but my G25 does NOT seem to be as perfect yours. The force feedback can't be adjusted in the option settings and I think my friends broke my shifter in that case. I always tell them to handle the shifter more gently and they always shift so rough. ****tards I will have them pay.

"The force feedback can't be adjusted in the option settings"

Yes it can, you are doing something wrong.

*Sigh* Yes I can adjust it from 0 - 10. But every force is exactly the same. Shaking everything of my desk weightlifting mode. If I do 1 or 10. It's all the same. So what I mean is, I can adjust it, but there's literally no difference. The problem's still there.

I know what you meant and I'm saying somehow you are doing something wrong as there is a huge difference from 1 to 5 in the FF of my G25..

Unless your G25 is so messed up that the FF is broken somehow. It is a problem with your setup, not a problem with Sony or GT5. FF adjustment works great for me on my G25, but I have heard people say they can't make much of a difference when adjusting FF in GT5 when using a G27.
