Hey guys

I've seen that the G27 @£189.99 on play.com for what looks like 1 day only.

I'm looking at upgrading from DFGT to either the G27 or the T500.

I was leaning toward the Thrustmaster but at £200 less and with a shifter I think it might swing the other way.

Money is not so much of a problem but I'm not going to spend it if theres only a tiny difference and I'm only going to be using it on GT5 and the new nascar game when it comes out really.

So whats the best deal G27 @£189 or Thrustmaster @£379 (cheapest I've found so far.)
 
A lot of reviews say there is no competition. t500 wins hands-down.

But 190 is a good price, id probably go for that if i didnt have a wheel... im running a dfgt at the moment, so up to the t500 is a step worth taking, but just up to a g27 isnt.

So from nothing to a g27 will be a great step.

So you don't think going from a dfgt to g27 is worth the money then?
 
G27 is a fantastic wheel. Well worth the price.
I own the GT2 and G27.

GT2 had a higher strength FF and smoother more subtle.

G27 is a more rougher experience and seems more mechanical.

Honestly ATM I've only had my GT2 a short while and sone games feel better but some feel better through my G27.

People may shout about that but that's my honest opinion.

Great price, great wheel. Get it.
 
I up until recently had a DFP (which is v similar to the DFGT). I could not play GT5 again using my DFP after using a friends G27. I ordered a T500RS the next day and got it last week. It is amazing. The difference between it and the G27 and the G27 and the DFP are prob similar. (if that makes any sense). It comes down to this, if you can afford the T500RS, get it. One thing to note is that there seem to be some manufacturing quality issues with the T500RS at the moment, my fan has just started making a terrible noise on startup, but TM seem to be excellent at handling replacements.
 
I think I may just go and get the T500 now.

Been doing quite a bit of research on both of these an I think it might be worth spending the extra bit and get the t500 instead of the g27.

I just wish they had a shifter with it aswell or atleast available to buy right now. Seems dissapointing that I'm going to have a non functional pedal at the moment or ever if they dont release a shifter (anybody got any info if or when this would be coming?)

Its nice to be able to get peoples feedback on pros and cons of the wheels without it turning into a bashing for either wheel.

As an upgrade i dont think so, i mean, if you cant afford to jump to the t500 from a dfgt, then going to the g27 would be a great step

I just want a t500 lol... too many people getting them making me jealous
