Hello everyone, i'm sorry if this is a already talked thread... but I have my G27 for about a year now, and it was running excelent...till now.
I was testing my new GT-R GT500 in the Nordschleife and I was changing gears with paddles, suddenly the gear jump into Neutral... I click many times the paddle to continue my way cause i thought I steped on the clutch (which actives it's function)... but a few second later...again...and again.
I saw the Stick (manual gear) and it was on Neutral position, I changed to 1st gear and leave it there, then I continue my way with the paddles and again few seconds the gear jumped...but this time to 1st gear.
I test other "clutch available" cars and test the manual gears....and it start missing (yes I do it carefully for not missing it) and then no gears were entering and when I use the paddles it enter the gear but as soon as I press Gas... it jumped again on the manual gear position, but a few tries later it start working normally again, even if i combined them with the paddles.

Now i hope it stays like that...but I really doubt it... does anyone have a similar problem?... how can I resolve it?

Yes, it's a modified G27 (but light mods, just a diferent gear knob and a Nixim brake spring and a aftermarket OMP 330mm wheel....nothing really INSIDE.

Thanks.
Sergio.

I agree with sagaper. Just in future use the search button before you make new threads. We don't need repeat threads like this or others (eg. When is B spec coming or where is the course maker etc etc).

@FerrariFXX 07 Do not be so hard on him:p.

@Sergio Troilo is relatively new to the forum. And we've all made some mistakes.

The hardware forum has helped me a lot. And there are many tips / tricks there.
It is worth spending some time there, you will learn a lot...

Ok, sorry for the mistake I don't know yet how everything works, thanks Sagaper for the support.
It really isn't that big of a deal. If you start a thread that's already been created, the mods will just lock it. No harm done.

Have you tried to open the pedal box, to clean the sensors and other parts.
For example by blowing it clean with canned air.

Do not use oil or something similar, for lubrication.
It will gather dust, and create biger problems later

Edit: I have just run a few laps, and I do not problem with the neutral.

Maybe your DS3 is placed such that some ting is touching / pressing a button.
It have happene with me, then it was the brake that was proplem...

Hey thanks, as a matter of fact, that make a lot of sense....i have 2 dogs and a lot a fur is flying all over much of the time, i will try that tomorrow, hope it works.

Remember to be careful when you open the pedal box.
But since you have changed the brake spring, you know that.

Good luck, hope it solves your problem. If it fixes your problem, start to cover your G27 when you not in use it

Thanks man, i will do it in a moment, i just finished playing....everything was working perfect till the las couple of races...the Gas and Clutch start to bother and the rest with the gears...same story.. like you said, hope it works.

I'll let you know. Cheers.

Sooo, i guess it worked.... it doesn't bother anymore, nevertheless i will invert them with a metal structure so the dirt of my shoes don't go right down to the mechanism. and i can clean them more regularly and easier.

Thanks agains Sagaper.
Cheers

You're welcome

I have a separate pair racing shoes:p Which I only use when I play.
The shoes are therefore quite clean, then no dirt in the pedal box...
