I just got my Logitech G27 and I am very pleased with it. Only 1 thing. After about 10 minutes of driving i found out that i had to hold the wheel slightly to the left in order for the car to go straight and after about half hour It had to be upside down.

I searched this problem on Google and there seems to be a solution to it.
However it involves disassembling the wheel and super gluing one of the parts inside which I might need help with, and the answer:
Does this technique really work?

And before i go on ahead and try it (if it really does work), I would like to know if there is a simpler way to solve the problem.

P.S. - Resetting the game seems to help, where the wheels spins by itself and returns to normal and found out I can reset it by disconnecting it from my PS3 and reconnecting it.
I haven't done this more than once and want to ask if it is safe to reset it that way.

It is safe to reset it this way but the problem will still persist, with a slipping encoder wheel it will just keep going out of alignment.
Okay well for now i guess it's okay for me to reset it in between races, as long as it doesn't get worse.

Did you buy it new or second hand? If it's used, I would deffinetly check the encoder wheel. If it's new I would send it back for exchange.

I had the same problem and yes, it did get worse. And the longer the race, the worse it was, to the point that in a 10 lap race I often had the wheel turned 90 degrees to go straight. Luckily I bought mine from a local Best Buy and was able to exchange it no questions asked, after 6 months. No problem in the 1.5 years since. I'd suggest dealing with it as soon as possible before it gets to the point where you can't use it.

If not under warranty then you should open case and tight up encoder wheel PCB screws. If driving when those are loosen you might end up destroying encoder wheel.
Check G27 problem threads here in hardware section and you'll find solution how to fix it.

thanks ill try it. It's brand new so i don't think the encoder wheel is broken or anything. @VBR suggested the same thing so it might be that. Thanks.

If it is brand new you should return it where you purchase it form and get another one.

@Piotr Jawniak - THIS! Don't open it if it's brand new, you'll just end up voiding the 3 year warranty. Logitech have great customer service, & if your wheel is faulty they'll just replace it with another brand new unit.

Contact to Logitech and ask how you should do. You can use their internet service and ask from there.

Doesn't matter as long as it was NEW when you bought it. So, was it new or second hand? If it was new, get a replacement from Logitech. If it was second hand, fix it yourself.
