Hey guys! New here, so go easy on me!

My friend is having problems with his G27, and his message to me on the problem was:

"when plug it into the usb port, the wheels turns side by side, then again, and the light keep lit up for a while. then go off. when i try to connect to a game, pedals and shifter are seen just fine, but the wheel isn't detect properly."

Has anyone heard of this problem?

Thanks for reading!

is it console or pc ? pull out all the plugs then re-attach are properly attached. if still getting problems, contact logitech

Sounds like a power issue. The pedals and shifter operate just off USB power iirc, the wheel is the only element which needs separate mains power.

So if the PSU in the computer isn't strong enough, problems like this will arise?

G27 has a separate power brick which connects directly to the wheel. This must be plugged in to get FFB forces and wheel functionality.

Pedals and shifter buttons work just off USB power. Any PC can deliver that fine.

ok, thanks! does this sound like an easy fix? he's looking to sell the g27 for $70, do you think it's worth it?

What wheel? It all depends on how much i can shell out for one, since the holidays are coming up
G27 - entire wheel unit (wheel + base)

If the one you buy is a total bust, just let me know. I'm in no rush - let me know after the holidays.
