Logitech G27 Wheel problem

So I have had this wheel for almost eight months now, have had a lot of fun times with it. However, today when I was playing f1 2013 the wheel would cease to work. the led indicator on the shifter would blink, no force feedback and no further input. I checked on the official website they say it may be caused by overheating, however my room is only 18 degrees and the control unit is cold as stone. What may be the reason of this and how should i deal with it?

Try it with other programs (and platforms if possible) and see if the problem continues.

Same happened to friend, wire inside from gear switcher was loose from connector, opened shifter and re-join that wire and its working again. Worth of checking if not sending it back on warranty.
