I had my wheel for about 6 months now and there have been a couple of problems with it so far.

The very first thing I noticed is that the car wouldn't go straight if my wheel was straight. I had to reconnect it to the PS3 after every race. However buying a new brass optical encoder and replacing the old one, the problem was gone and everything was ok again.

Then after a few months I noticed that my wheel's force feedback was off. The car was way too easy to control and the wheel spun much slower on start up. I decided to do some research but couldn't find anything so I just had to ignore it. I also tried opening it up to see if any of the cables inside the wheel were not attached properly but it seemed to be fine. I put it together and nothing changed.

Now I think it's dead. When I was playing and paused the game, the wheel seemed to lose all of it's force feedback. I had to put barely any effort when turning it. It was just as easy to turn as when it was off. So I decided to reconnect it but nothing. It wouldn't spin, the LEDs didn't come on and it just doesn't respond. The pedals and the buttons on the shifter are working fine however.

I don't know what to do anymore, please help. I can't return it because my warranty is over and I wouldn't be so fast to do it because I ordered mine off Ebay, and it took two weeks to get here. So even If I could return it, I would have to wait over a month to get another one.

Check power supply unit, if you have voltage meter test is that transformer giving correct voltages. Nearly broken cord may do similar problems, not enough capacity to transfer needed ampere to wheel.

Cord or psu is my guess.
