Hi all I tried skimming through the forums for a answer, but haven't come up with a 100% sure answer. My questions are. Can u only buy the wheel and no pedals? The reason for this is I was wondering if my pedals and shifter from my g27 will still work with a g29 because of my racing rig I built myself. I put a few pics in here. I thought I seen on a racing sim review video that the hook ups are all the same but I can't confirm that. I'm trying to get ready for gt sport on ps4.

The pedals and shifter from the G27 should with with the G29, as both the g27 pedals and shifter work with my G920 wheel.



I am using the G920 pedals in the video (which you cant see), but they G27 ones do work; just as the shifter does. I just prefer the G920 pedals, as they have a something similar to the NIXIM brake modification from the factory.

Thanks for the response lalyrn, I watched your video and am assuming the g920 is more geared toward the xbox and pc. I'm assuming the g29 is more for pc and ps4.

Yep, the G920 is for the Xbox one and PC. Baring that, and the buttons on the wheel itself; it is still essentially a G27. The new shifter and pedals use the same connectors as the G27 base unit, which is the same on the G920 and G29 wheel bases. I have tested the G27 shifter on the Xbox and the PC, and the only part that does not work; at the additional buttons. All 6 forward gears plus the reverse all work properly and as they should.

The G27 pedals and shifter should work on the G29 wheel, just as they do on my G920 wheel. Inside sim racing got the G27 shifter to work on the G29 by just plugging it in, I believe they showed it in their G29 review video. I do not believe the shifter, either the Driving Force shifter or the G27 one, will not work with the wheel in PS3 mode.
