I've noticed that this has been brought up every now and then but what is going on with the G25 and G27 support. I bought my G27 earlier in 2010 just in preparation for this game and I think it's really ridiculous that they are refusing to accomodate those of us that have already purchased this wheel and spent alot of money on it. I'm not stupid, I know that it has something if not everything to do with the new "official" wheel and trying to force us all to buy it. Is there any organized effort to take a stand against them ignoring the fact that the G27 is a great wheel and doesn't need to be replaced? I've been giving some serious thought to just sending PD an email on a daily basis just to bug them about it. Would anyone else be willing to do this with me? I think if enough G27 owners (and I'm fairly sure there's alot of us) kept clogging up their email daily, that they would be forced to deal with the situation. I'm glad that there is partial support now, but it's really making me angry that even the Driving Force wheel is fully supported but not the G27!
 
Does the FFB work? Does the button on the shifter console work? Does the paddle shifter/H-shifter-clutch work? If the answer to those question is "yes, yes and yes", then you've nothing to bitch about since the G series wheel was never intended for the PS3.
 
it´s lame indeed. hope too, that they will implent full support of the g27. though i don´t think they will. lol
 
Yes, yes & yes! But it would be nice to be able to config the buttons.

What's with the attitude?
 
This helped me, maybe it can be of anyone´s help, too. Remapping is possible for the G25, I´m just lacking a few buttons directly on the wheel :) Should be nearly similar to the 27.

I don't think you can adjust the rotation angle with either the DFGT or the T500RS (which by the way has an extra 180 deg of rotation).

Can't seem to remap the G27? I could in GT5P (cant remember which wheel's configuration it was, but it worked) Ive tried in GT5, but it didn't work(G27).
Incase i've missed it, what wheel's settings do I adjust?
 
I dont see this as much of a problem. Does force feedback work? Yes. Does the clutch work? Yes. Paddle shift? Yes. Seqential box? Yes. H-Shift pattern including 6 gears and reverse? Yes.

On my G25 i have lights (flash) and handbrake mapped to the two red buttons on the steering wheel.

The 4 red buttons on the shifter from left to right are mapped - Wipers, change view, pause, full beam lights.

Directional pad - Left view, right veiw, look behind.

Four black buttons - Only one of these are mapped and thats the horn.

Rotation , take the reverse from the sticks , bcuz makes you lose alot of time .

Adjust the ffb , i have a lil brother who cant play bcuz the ffb is too strong , and the ffb cannot be adjusted , its always the same , tried number of time , i use it on 10 , but when i set it to 1 it fells the very same
 
I don't know what you're talking about. If I could re-map the buttons the way I wanted to, I wouldn't be posting this. How were you able to re-map the button configuration? I have 4 working buttons that I can't set for what I want. My one problem in particular is I have no way to actuate the wipers with out having my controller on and sitting next to me. Also, as far as I have heard the G series is fully supported on games like DIRT 2 and NFS: Shift. I'm not complaining to complain, I just think it's lame of PD not to work this out for us knowing that so many people would be banking on this wheel being supported (and I know they did).
 
I don't know how to re-map the buttons on G27 either, and I'd really love to move horn, windshield wipers, e-brake & headlights to the buttons on the wheel.

I agree, using the buttons on the wheel would be great. What can we do to get PD to address this?

If you haven't already, sign the petition for full support of G25/G27. That's kind of all we can do, I think...

It's in the GT5 forum. Might be a couple of pages back though by now.
