A small table (:

There are several members here who have built big arcade racing boxes to mount a steering wheel and pettles in/on. But as for something that is designed for it, I don't know of anything.

Welcome to GTPlanet!

That's one of the main reasons i didn't buy a racing wheel for my ps2, because i couldn't get it connected on a table or something else comfortably.
That and the lack of cash:P

btw, welcome to the forums, SAMBORA

yea, I tried it at a freinds house and when i would turn sharply the base would follow and the car wouldnt turn.

I hope some company will make a damn steering wheel with a clutch! That would kick so much ass!! And they need to make it compatible with GT3 and GT4 when it comes out....

:r:yan

....Bah mother****er, Bah.... 😈

I bought one steering wheel and found out that I was much more junk than a driver. So what I did ? I simply returned the $#@**% wheel for a full refund... :D

But mostly the table, right? :D

Isn't there a lap-stand included with the newer version of the Logitech wheel?

Thanks to the wonder of the internet and being able to download the software from Logitech, my GT3 wheel is doing sterling service on both the PS2 and on the PC - very happy with it on Grand Prix 3 and Grand Prix Legends.

I use a small table, and a towel underneath the clamps. The towel helps to keep the table from scratching, and has some nice side effects. It keeps the wheel more securely fixed IMHO, and the force feedback feels more solid. (Less vibrations through the table.) :D

Hello...

That's the best way to mount a Wheel !

Best wishes

Now that's a setup! Is it yours? There's even a gear shift on the right. Impressive.

Now, if there's a way to make the whole thing shake when you bump something and attach a big fan with the power adjusted by the speed traveled (for the wind-in-your face feel)...

vat man: The Logitech wheel is compatible with PS2 and PC? I might have to brek down and get one, then.

I have the red PC version of the wheel. And it works great.
The main reason I bought the PC one, is that it only cost me about half the prize of the official GT3 one. :D

CloneHead: thanks. The PC version will work in the PS2, then? Hmmm...

Werner: Looks like a great job. If you're feeling entrepreneurial, you might want to check if there's a market for that. Especially your design to use an H gear shift.

Werner, you build some amazing things and you could make some (maybe a lot) of money off it... why not contact thrustmaster or logitech?

Hello...

Thank You for the flowers !

Do You know from nice People, that have a lot of money ! ?

Ha Ha... :D

I'm think, that's all in the day's work !
To mount a other Wheel on a Logitech Wheel, You must build only a simple adapter . That's no Art.

A ready Wooden Box is much to expensive for the most Gamer.

Only my Servo controled H - direct Shifting System, is a special Item.
I'm dont hear from a matchable Shifter, to use with Playstation 2 !

But to make money, You must build a full electronic device ( Microchip )
A Shifter with a Servo in the electronic circut, is to much expensive and much to damageable !
( A Item for industrial selling, must work a long time error- free ! )

But I have a lot of Fun with my work meticulously .

Best wishes from Germany
Werner

Yes mate, although I should caution I have the original GT3 wheel WITHOUT the PS2 buttons and D-Pad on the wheel - when you hook it into the USB port the PC recognises it as a Formula Force (well, my versions of Win98 and Win2k did anyway).

The wheel is very easy to set up via the Install Wizard.

When you initially hook it up you won't get feeback but that's easily fixed.

You can download the software for the force-feedback via the Logitech game controller site - http://www.wingmanteam.com - the download's about 9 meg or so,

And - it works a treat! Comes up really well with the patched version of Grand Prix 3.
