I tried to search for this but I just got random threads with Logitech or even one thread of 350Z or something. So I am sorry if this has been discussed before..

But I just ordered Logitech Z-5500 5.1 Speaker System

And I would like to know, if I'd be able to connect My 360 / PS3 / SKY (cable TV network) so every output can be heard on this? If someone has used these speakers, please help.. As I am relatively quite a n00b at this.. :sly:

Actually turns out I am a n00b at a lot of things :D

You can connect them all to the speakers, yes. Only problem is that if you want more than one connected at the same time, you either need 3 different connection types (RCA, TOSlink, and Coaxial) or a splitter for either TOSlink, Coax or RCA.

Sorry for my late reply but if you can get a Optical splitter. I have these speakers and they are quite nice for a HTIB type set up.

I just purchased these speakers as well and I was wondering... First of all is it normal that on any setting the 5 satellite speakers never run at the same time? But the other question is I have an input on the back of my computer for a black(in) and red(out) RCA connectors for digital audio. Would that work with the coax input? Get a wire that has the coax end then the black and red RCA connectors? Right now it's being connected directly but I don't think it's working. One of the 3.5mm jacks it isn't clear where i'm supposed to put it since when I plug it in nothing effects the speakers at all in any of the jacks... so I figured a coax connection might solve the problem. As you can tell i'm not very experienced with audio so if you guys have any suggestions if this would not work at all would be great. 👍

First, make sure all the speakers are connected to the correct terminal on the back of the sub. Second, make sure all the level settings are correct, i.e., turn the level up on the surround speakers. Unless you are listening to a super audio cd or watching a dvd or playing a game that is in surround sound, change the effect to stereo or stereo x2.

The control pod has a coax input connection on it. Just get a coaxial audio cable and connect one end to the control pod and the other end to the output on the back of your computer.

If none of your local electronics stores have one, or if you don't want to be raped by their prices, buy the cable from monoprice.com

I don't know what I did from yesterday to today but now all the speakers work on PLII Music. :odd: But do you think it would be better anyways to connect it to the coax input?
