Logo creation help

Hello

I was asked by a guy I know for help in creating a logo for the West of Scotland RS owners club.

Here is an indication of what they would like.

The car is obviously a stylised version of a Sierra RS Cosworth, and the text should be the same as, or very similar to, this script below. Unfortunately, I don't know what that is...

Can anyone assist in this logo's creation?

Someone could use this Ford original image as a starter for some serious arty-style photoshopping...

The font is called Brush Script. If I'm not mistaken, Banff is almost identical, but don't hold me to that - it's been a few years.
 
The Brush Script font is easy to find and DL for free, so no problem there.

Of course, if TB hadn't point out which font it was, I'd still be looking... :dunce:👍


daan - I have a few questions regarding the logo.
In the RS, do you want it to have the dots after the 'R' and the 'S' like the drawing you posted?
Also, how much detailing do you guys want on this? I means shadings, number of colours, etc.
Because depending on the places in which it will be used, that counts a lot.
For example, it would be harder (and more expensive) to print it with gradients on shirts for people to use.

I only use PS for sketching ideas when making logos. ;)

I would guess at no dots. The RS logo itself has no dots.

I think its for a car sticker, so I don't imagine they'd want a lot of detail.
 
Alias for Sketching, PS for Graphics, GIF-making, Digital Painting and Rendering. Imageready to save GIF, flash and AI i have but dont really use.

Yep, I think that's what they're looking for. I presume it'll need to be a black outline on a transparent background, but they may need a white outline for the black cars.

I can get more info tomorrow.
