I just saw on the news that several large explosions were seen outside London, England. It is too early to tell what caused these explosions, but the footage I saw on the news was pretty terrifying. If anybody has more information please post it here. Witnesses say the explosion was heard up to 25 miles away... did anyone on here hear/see the blasts?

I can see the news now....

but seriously, haven't seen any breaking news here....then again, it may be to early.

It's still too early for updates. Could be an attack, could be an accident. Might be hours before we know...

A friend managed to get this video.

E - We'll see panic-buying by noon/1pm and/or a price-hike of at least 10p per litre by Monday. £1 isn't far off - especially not in the South-east, where this depot is said to serve.

It's hemmel hempstead, i think.

What i find so hilarious about this, is that people living near the explosions haven't been told to evacuate from all the smoke and toxic fumes, but told to just maybe close your windows and doors, and possibly put your car's vents on recirculate before popping down to sainsburies to get some custard creams for aunt marge's visit later on.

If it's just the south East being affected I should be fine. I think most our (South Wales) fuel comes form the Milford Haven docks. Although a hell of alot of fuel has gone up.

what really sucks is that Texaco gives annual bonuses every year there are no accidents... my wife works for Texaco and so far this had been a great year... the fuel deposits were of Total and Texaco :yuck:

Actually I believe the explosions were in Luton, not London

It was just north east of junction 8 on the M1, which is probably halfway between london and luton

Bugger.

I live only a few miles from there, but i've been at m girlfriends all weekend. Ill see what i can see tomorrow morning.

It seems better now. Yesterday and this morning the smoke trail stretched for 10's of miles. It seemed to have mostly dissipated by this afternoon.
