hi all, im new to drifing, and i wanna know how you do those impressive long drifts? you know,...the ones that go on for like 5 seconds, on a corner thats not even sharp.

Sim tires and suspension settings, though i wouldn't kno much bout sim, i'm to used to mix tires (sumone explain the thing with real life weight transfer and why it won't work, i really wanna kno!)

suspension isnt a necessity for long drifts. as long as you have sims and a fair amount of hp the car should be able to maintain a very long drift without trouble. but all of this will come after days of practice..and the more you drift, the better you get, you'll never learn everything there is.

yea, i just get my cars, upgrade everything cept for lightening 3 and around 300 hp. I leave everything else alone and I'm able to drift any turn lol

first try to buya any cars suggestion ( fr . mr or 4wd )
than , tune all everything xcept weight & turbo tire choose SIMS the best tire for drift ( really ) . then low the ride height then try to drift with feint means do like takumi do in the akina when battle again ryosuke fd than mantain the speed at the corners ...

LOTS OF PRACTICE . after u master it than put weight reduction or turbo ..k then try to drift it will be diffrent from normal ( standard) ... thats i can do to help u others u all can ask
lanevo & others im not so good like them :)

soory long paragraph:p

practice,a proper study, and get to know your car like how it
responds during certain situations and it's capablilties

By taking a physics class that focuses on the transformation of rubberized compounds during intense heat, mobilized friction and kinetic matter shifts. Or you can practice. ;)

aha, wrong, sims are good for sliding(no traction) but with even more practice you can make a car equipped with racing slicks(lotsa traction) slide just as long. so that would mean, hmmmmmm, oh yea racing slick drifters have more practice.

You guys are the biggest group of idiots I've ever met. I can't believe how pathetic you all are.

Drift_gal, don't listen to a word they said! What you need to do is PRACTICE!!!

:D

How can you tell her not to do what they said, then suggest the same thing they suggested?

Anyway, everyone is right. Practice makes perfect. Oh yeah, and you need a steering wheel too, don't use the regular PS2 controller. You can do it without the wheel but trust me, you don't want to bother.

Also, there is a lot of bad information floating around this area so don't listen to anyone. Take suggestions, and then decide for yourself whether it was right or wrong.

yeh thats what i fort, i think i have to buy the sterring wheel, cos with the controller you cant do a small steer, cos everytime i dry to do the long drift i end up regaining the grip and accelerating staright into the wall...

Hahahahahaa... perg, it's was a joke, cause like 20 people posted saying the same thing. lol :D

all i have to say is learn to controle the car, practice and hope you have a good power to slide ratio. im sure if your new at it you really wouldnt want to try this because its really frustrating, im really good with short drifts but i still overturn on the long drifts. so yeah, practice, get a good car with good handling and a midrange hp (no, not 700 and above) and get to working on the track that you want to do that on. eventualy you will get it but it isnt as easy as it looks. its even harder in real life so yeah, you get the picture i hope.

Well in that case, you're all wrong. What she needs is practice. Not practice or practice.
