What do you reckon are your longest drifts? i guess its hard to measure exactly, but roughly? my most impressive drift i think is the last 3 (biggest) loops on complex string, i did it (once) in a stock (except gearbox) cobra :sly: on sims (of course). i dnt have the equipment to make a vid yet so you'll have to take my word for it unfortunately, but im sure the pros have done better...?

I'm pretty sure the longest drift in GT3 can be done on those three loops in Complex string, I can't remember anything longer then those turns. If you put hybrids into the mix, drifting test course is possible, as BAZZ has demonstrated.

Oh there are always Sheron's linking vids. But I guess that's not quite the same thing. He was able to totally link one lap of Complex String.....that's just scary. :scared: heh heh

is there a video of sheron at complex string? id really like to see it. i just try to drift the big loops, done the biggest one once 👍 havnt been able to do it again so i guess it was a fluke :grumpy:

haha, i juust woke up. there were so many spelling errors and what not in the 1st post. even a few in the edit but i cought myself :)

I don't know what my longest drift was. The longest is definetly the Test Course turn. That was the longest drift I've ever seen. The video should be somewhere on GTP and is worth the download.

ok sorry i suck, ill be sure to use the search function in future. 💡 hmmm maybe ill ask a question about whose got 100% or what is evryones favourite car next?? 💡

My longest drift is probably all of Apricot Hill II (more challenging than forward), or Complex String II....

;)

My longest drift right now would be the whole lap of Trial Mountain, including two 360º spin-to-drifts. Too bad I spun out on the last corner, lol.

I'm still working on it :p

The longuest drift without doing (many) chokudoris in straights may be the final part of Complex String II, from the 90º corners.

I'm sorry i'm a newb at drifting but what the hell is a chokudoris? I'm guessing it is a fishtail. I have linked all the corners of apricot and one of the night courses (I can't remember which). Also a question, do you have to do anything on the straights to have the corners on the start and end considered linked? Personally I fishtail back and forth down the whole thing. Is there any other words I should know as an aspiring drifter?

Fishtailing on the mainstretch is about all you can do to consider a lap around any course, linked. And yes, 'choku dori' is fishtailing, I believe it can also be called 'manji'. I hardly practice choku dori myself, I like to keep the car straight on the stretches, then do feint maneuvers coming into the corners to (quite literally) shake off the speed I've built.

'Feint' is another word you may have read somewhere, meaning that you initiate a drift by throwing the weight of the car from one side to the other, kind of like a mini-fishtail. :)

Here is my longest. I think

I've downloaded I'm gonna reply in the correct thread have a read!

My longest drift was on Seattle Circuit by the stadium thingy. I drove down the bridge/overpass, then drifted the next right, held it for the following right, and flicked the car around for the left after that.

Now I just need to try it without mixing tires. :guilty:
