there is something we will Gt4 just like we did in hte other GT-gaems......it's COCKPITVIEW!!! I don't understand why tehy won't put it in GT4, it's one of the most realistic views while your racing.... It gives you a better adrenaline-rush when you sit behind your wheel and just tailing the B!@tch in front of you.

Do you think that the cockpitview is something that we can't miss?
 
i agree but it will take alot of time and effort to detail a cockpit
 
i actually think they wanted to put it into GT3, or perhaps started to model cockpits for GT4, cuz the skyline R34, not sure which one tho, actually has internal stuff. if you try to do one of the license, cant remember which one, but when you go into the ghost car, you can actually see the inside of the cockpit. so mayb they planned on having having it, but realized it was taking too long or something.
 
well, if they made like 4 "simple" universal cockpits (like the tachometers in Gran Turismo 3)
1 for roadcars 1 for race cars and so on..
maybe that would spare some time :)
 
Still though, giving 500 + cars cockpits...
Then when they would people would probabyl still complain, cos it wouln't be realistic enough.
Also I would maybe like to see a bonnet view as well. If they can do a roof view of each car in replays in GT3 i can't see why it would take them that long to do it in GT4? Just a thought.
 
were tachs all the same in GT3? i guess i never noticed it, but i know that the one for the ae86 SS edition had a different one.

Given the level of detail in GT3, and the work the designers do on getting minor points correct, I really doubt they'd be satisfied with a generic interior.
 
ya, generic cockpits isnt something that PD would probably do. but atleast some companies use the same guages for different models, so that can slightly reduce the amount of work. i wonder if theyd make the cockpit all 3D. hmmm.... if they did have cockpits, then they could probably have different steering wheels from different companies and with different sizes.

Think of it this way... If PD did a cockpit view for each car for GT4 then the game would probably not fit onto a single DVD disc. I'd like to see something like that be done but I kind of like the current in car view because you can see more than outside the car.
 
ok thats true, if they add something like genereic then the detail becomes less... i dont care for a cockpit i like it this way (as gt3 is) if its improved or whatever its ok to me.. i cant wait for the game!! :) :)

I'd like to see a simple 'over the hood/bonnet' camera angle for driving. It wouldn't require any special modelling as you could just sit the camera at the lower edge of the windshield.
 
daytona usa for the saturn or genesis, whichever, that has a good view. over the bonnet, too.

I want to see the Steering wheel, with Hands move and shift. 👍!!
 
The "Laying-on-a-skateboard-view" never worked for me. If I could just see the hood, it would be alot better probably. I miss the "Far chase" view, it gave the best periferal vision.

P.S. I wouldn't care if GT4 was on 2 Discs.
 
Yeah, what happenned to the far chase view? In GT and GT2 i always used the far chase view and sudenly it was gone, I hope they bring it back. :eek:
 
no! it would turn your visibility down ALOT. it'd suck. big time.
