So in accordance to StarCraft II coming out this summer, and my growing need to replace my aged 7600 GT anyhow, I've been looking into replacing my power supply (currently a 400W RoseWill one) and GFX.

Currently, the PowerColor AX5770 is my top pick for the GFX card, thanks to price point and PCI-E 2.1

Top PSU is the OCZ Fatal1ty OCZ550FTY 550W ATX12V v2.2, again due to price point and reviews.

The goal is to have it so I can expand into CrossFire when I decided to replace my mother board (currently an old K9N4 board) since numbers I've seen, along with reviews, indicate the 550W is enough for xFire 5770s.

If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, please let me know. Keep in mind I'd like to stick to around $200 USD for final price, including shipping (right now, $226 with shipping before $35 worth of MiRs)

Also, part of what I used to settle on the Radeon HD 5770 is this chart from Tom's hardware:

Try selling your old parts so you can save money. Also, buying as a combo can save money. But, it is a good graphics card. Can it play Battlefield bad Company 2? If so, its an amazing card.

It'll run BC2 fine w/ HBAO off and everything else turned up pretty high. That power supply is okay, but I don't know how long it'll last running crossfire.

Check out HardOCP.com for their power supply reviews. Trust no one else.

That video card would blow BC2 out of the water. I run BC2 on high settings @ 1680x1050 on a Nvidia GTS 240 1GB (basiclly an overclocked 9800gt) flawlessly, and it will run the game pretty respectablly @ 1920x1280.

I migrate my old parts to another computer usually; in this case, my media box in the living room, which would benefit from the 7600 GT to handle HD streams.

Was not aware of this site, quite helpful indeed.

If you order before May 11-ish, you can get this power supply for $2 more.

Interesting. Just a bit ago they weren't even listing that PSU... so that is cool it is back. Well, correction, it wasn't adding the instant $20 off in the cart. Thus I changed to the 550W which was still getting the instant discount.

Though, no red glowing light :p
