I'm looking for some shades of blue. I'm looking for a dark blue that isn't metallic, just like a normal looking dark blue. Also I'm looking for a shade of blue to replicate a Gulf McLaren F1 from the 90's and I'm also wondering if I can find the beautiful blue color used on the factory Peugeot 908. The Gulf McLaren is especially what I'm doing at this second, so I'm looking for not just the shade of blue, but one to keep the letters white. Does anyone know of any paint chips?

Try the Jaguar XKR-S blue as a replacement for the Pug blue.

The GTR Gulf color is difficult from the top of my head, but check out the Covette C7.

The Laguna Blue Tincoat on the new Vette is a bit too metallic, I'm going for more of a this:

There is a color called "french racing blue" that springs to mind. It came with a british(!) car, but I can't remember wich one ATM!

It could be the Aston V12 Vantage.

That might be the Metallic 15 AE Light or Dark Blue color. Seems close enough. Solid colors don't really refract light like that picture does.

I believe French racing blue came on a Jag, I have that color, only problem is the writing is black.

Those 2 colors throw a bit too much light off though, that's why I was thinking it would be a normal color, which can still reflect a bit, like the tincoat corvette chips do.

Phoenix blue on the 97 NSX looks close
Its close, its about the same as the French Racing Blue but the letters are still black. Need a bit darker but I is definitely a normal non-metallic type color like that one is.

Think that's the Jaguar XKR-S if I'm not mistaking.

audi nogaro blue
Close, but might be a tad dark and when I spray it on the car the writing is black and not very noticeable.

Right now I have GT6 Polarized 021 on it, which is almost perfect except for it being a Color Shift paint chip and flecks of purple can be seen in it. If there is a color like that without the purple it would be perfect. Daytona Road Course_11.jpg

You might try the Grabber Blue from Ford available on the boss 302, GT500 and Mach 1, it's a lighter, non mitalic blue that is close the ford racing blue. Which looks close to that McClairen blue your looking for.

While continuing my hunt my mystirious silver mica metillac i did that Renault Spot Clio has a Racing blue that is fairly close to what your looking for maybe a shade to dark,

Not sure off hand Fox, but in GT6 a very close match if not the same is the Aurora Flare Blue Pearl (2P) from Nissan GTR-Black Edtion.

Chrysler's Plum Crazy (found on '70s Dodge and Plymouth cars) may be your answer, and it surely is worth a shot. But it may be too blue.
