Hello all. I have searched the internet and can't quite find exactly what I'm looking for so I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I'm looking for a good, easy to understand tutorial (preferably not a video) on how to merge multiple images/photos together to make a photo montage. I'm hoping to be able to print this tutorial out (PDF maybe) or it can just be a regular web page that can be printed. Below is an example of what I am looking to be able to do. Thanks in advance for any help.

Am pretty crap at explaining things in an easy way so got you this link which should get you thru the basics of merging layers and what to do with them.

If your looking to make an imge like the one you,ve shown then the images are best to remove background by using certain tools and then use that image in your collage and it won,t show the background.

"Notice instead of your background you see the checkerboard pattern; in Photoshop this means that the background is transparent?"

A bit like the sample below?

If you want to merge layers that have different blending options, Merge Down may not always work the way it appears when the layers are separate. I usually multi-select (ctrl+click) the layers, and hit Ctrl+E ("Merge Layers" command).

Thanks for the tip. 👍
