Already paying my Isp 4 Access
So i'm planning on a car purchase during the next months, and could use some of you guy's advises as i was VAG followers (and still am :))and want now a bit of change (car is for track days and sunny days ;P )
I have an importer but you canstill trow in garages and importers...

The cars i look for:
Skyline 32GTR (a bit too old)
Skyline 33 GTST (how good are they, knowing that tuning here is limited to due to missing documents for road legal parts???)
Rx-7
Supra's MKIV
maybe a Skyline 34 (GTR a bit over my limit probably :( but a GTT should be at range)

Blitz 187 or other neederlands: do you know a good garage in holland? you come from that region and NL is known for having a lot of imports...

Germans: do you know tuners for this cars with Tüv?

Please trow in all you got.....

You know that there's EU versions of the RX-7 and Supra, right? You don't have to get a JDM, RHD version...

Yes i know but the prices of these are a lot higher. And as i won't use it as everyday car it's a compromise i'm willing to pay. In my researches the last day, i found 1 supra LHD for over 20000. And Rx-7 are around 15000- 20000 €.

Ohh i see i forgot to write a price.
My maximum is 12000€
i know not a lot, but the car doesn't need to be in an extra good condition(except gears and engine), i want to work on it. And the milage can be a bit higher as i will overhaul the whole engine.

Till now I saw (all in Japan)
an 33 GTST for 7000€ (without reg. +- 1500-3000€) with 123000km
An 32GTR 90000km 1st owner 8000€.
RX-7 120000km non mod. 10000€
33GtR v-spec 10000€ 132000km
33GTR 14500€ 100000km

Supras till now haven't found one that was not mod till death or they are out of my range

I can find you 40 Supras in this country for that price. Turbo, non-turbo, manual, auto, targa, coupe, you name it.

Willing to take a trip across the Channel?

If the base is good i "even" take one from uk.
till now, the uk imports (from uk to continent) i saw where in a very bad condition: over tuned, beaten to death or beginning of the brown disease. I didn't search in Uk. Will give it a try. Or if you got a good site,...

At the moment the tickets for the channel are hard to get as it seems. overbooked for two weeks lol.

In Hailsowen UK there is a guy (He's in the autotrader) with quite a few imports last year we went and got my friend a black R33 with a Nismo kit cat back system and aftermarket alloys 64,000km £5,500 and it was tidy.

Edit: Looks for add.

Are R33 GtR that cheap?? After looking a bit in uk, a 7000 price tag seems the middle.
i thought a good base 33 GTR would cost at least 10000???

Nice thanks guys

Ok my importer gave me an update: what do you think about this one??
R33 GTR (japan direct import, arrived 2 weeks ago.)
01/1995
81000km
manuel
Gray paint job
Warrenty
NO Tuning

ALL for 9500 (inclusive all mods and registration to make it roadlegal + homologation (+-2000€)

Im hot for that one.

Not bad at all. The choice is yours. But would you not go for a R34 around that price ?
Glad to help and enjoy whatever you choose.
Have fun. Jay..

My thought is that a GTR is more price stable than a GTT. Am i wrong??
In fact at the beginning i didn´t want a GTR because i already own a 4*4 sport car. But i simply can´t resist the charm of the Skylines. the 34 is a car i really really like, but i would prefer a GTr version and those a damn expensive for the moment. Give me 40000 and i happily take a GtR V-spec Nür II. :D:D

The problem is that (apart from that i find a lot of tuned models 90% (some mods are impossible to register here) ) that a conversion is need to be made (lightning RHD LHD) and i need to pass it at the inspection, which are a-holes. The inspection and conversion + homolgation are very expensive. And if you fail it you pay and pass again...
My importer does that for me in one turn.
He can import cars from UK nevertheless so i be looking further... Found already some very interesting models in UK. Only there can be a slight problem with warrenty and a 400 km journey.

And i got still some days to decide.

If you want me to pick up and store a car for you, so you can fly over and drive it back, I'd be happy to.

I was looking around on that piston heads wabsite that addictions reccomended, and I found a good number of R32 GT-R's for less than 10,000. The R32 is my personal favorite Skyline, so if I were ever to get one, it would be that one. I didn't look into the cars, so I don't know the conditions. I hope you get a good deal on whatever you get though!:) I would certainly be jealous if you got a Skyline.

So first ,i like you to thank you all for your quick replies.

Budget: 10000 (2000 for registration)
Here is till date what i want and what i found:

3l T Supra Manual, stock (no tuning)

till now I didn't find one that seemed ok (when i looked back 6 months ago, there were 2 good one in my region. DArn). Under 10000 i don't find turbos with manuel, or they are in not a good basic shape.

Mazda RX-7:
For those i got two interesting ones:
1. Still in Japan. completly stock, 135000km manuelblue 9750€
2. 30 min from me in Belgium is one 94' 93000km 241PS manuel black 6500 (darn nice price, from budget view this one is good but looks a bit worn , but i will go take a look on it since it's really near)
Out of budget : one in Luxemburg 350PS 135000km LSD 15000. Nice one. But 4 months ago i saw it when i was in holidays and when i came back it was gone. Now it's back on sale. Bizarre, either the maintenaince was too high , or there was something smelly...

R33 GTR

Here i found one that is actually damn good (same as above)
01/1995 81000km manuel Gray paint job Warrenty NO Tuning 9500€ +2000 for regisatration.

R34

I really wanted a GTR an they are still pretty expensive. A GTT is a good alternative. But when i face the choice R34gtt or r33gtr i heavily tend for the GTR.

Now all I can hope is that the cars i already targeted are still available in a month (need money so more working :D) when i got the cash together. So there is still some time to find 2-3 good alternatives.

I will keep you updated. And yes pics will follow the purchase

Thanks to all of you

€10,000 is about £8,700.

This is listed at £8,995 (so you should be able to get it for your target price), looks to be in pretty good shape (nasty wheels, but meh) and is a manual turbo.

Thanks for the tip famine. looks good as does the reseller who got some serious looking cars in stock.
added to the list + bookmarked ;D
