Well I would like to get a stand for my Logitech G27 Wheel, however I only have about £40 GBP ($64 USD) I'd be willing to build it myself as long as there are plans but I'm just wondering if anybody has any cockpit/homemade wheel stands they could share with me, I'd like it to be fairly compact as I have a lot of guitar equipment which takes up a fair amount of room.

Many Thanks,

Tom

I made a stand for my Fanatec Carrera from a single large board of cheap wood (chipboard I think) I bought and got cut to the right size and pieces at B&Q for about £30 in total including hinges, nails and screws which works well and it tucks away nicely in the corner.
I am however not sure if it will work well with the G27 because it doesn't have a shifter mount as i just have my shifter on the rails of the wheel.

I will get photos if possible tommorow but I go back to school on thursday so that may not be a possibility, if I don't reply to you here feel free to pm me as I might well have forgotten.
I'm not sure but i think i have a model in google sketchup with the final design from which you could get all the measurements.

Good luck

Edit: Woohoo post #111

So long as no tools need to come out of the budget you can build yourself one for that sort of money.

Have a look at all the threads on here detailing people's setup. By combining ideas you will be able to come up with something that works with your space. And it won't be store bought, it will be something that you have made, customised to exactly your own requirements.
