Looking For Beginner Motorcycles

I'm looking for beginner bikes. A few people recommended the Suzuki SV650 as one of them and I was wondering if any of these bikes are for beginners as well:

Suzuki SV650S
United Motors V2S-650
United Motors V2S-650S
United Motors V2S-250R
United Motors V2S-650R
Hyosung GT250
Hyosung GT650
Hyosung GT250R
Hyosung GT650R
Hyusung GT650S

The only things you really have to look at in a beginner bike are the size of the engine and the weight of the bike (which is usually tied in with the size of the engine). Pretty much every other aspect or factor comes down to quality, performance, or preference, without much of an effect on "beginner-friendliness." So keep that in mind while searching. 👍

Many people will recommend a 600-700cc bike to a beginner, but I think that's excessive. The idea of growing into a larger bike over time has its merits, but so does the idea of saving money on gas and then selling the bike to another new rider if you decide to upgrade.

My personal recommendation for a "new rider zone" is 400cc and less. From there, find something that floats your boat. Any of the 250s you mentioned there would work (aren't the UMs just rebadged Hyosungs?), but I have no idea how reliable they are, what with them being Korean and only recently introduced to the 'states. I'm sure they're just fine, but if reliability is high on your list you may want to go with one of the more well-established Japanese marques.

Personally I fail to see how 600cc's fall into beginner category. They're pretty funkin heavy and most 600sports are really, dangerously fast.

I'm assuming somewhere along the line a lot of people who know a lot of nothing started preaching this idea on the interwebs and it took off from there.
