Please correct any mistakes i make, this is my first time posting in this forum. The rules seem very strict.

Anyways I'm looking for both the Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX AE86 cars.
I can purchase cars in the dealership worth under 1 million I believe? I don't quite understand the rules about trading cars worth over 1 million.

I do have Chrome Silver, and Matte White paint that I am willing to trade.
I also have a few other Matte paints and color shifting paints, just ask if you'd like to know about the lot of 'em.

-Thanks

Okay here is a list of cars that cannot be traded:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=185811

Even though you'll find them on the OCD for half price (ex: M3 GTR Race Car for $500k) you still can't trade them.

Also this website: http://www.mygranturismo.net/

Lists every single car in the game and details if tradable. You can also register and build a car list and can link so everyone can see. As far as the "hachi-roku" cars I believe I have only the Corolla Levin AE86 version and the black hooded S.Shigeno AE86 which is a highly tuned version (one of my favorites).

I can trade either of those cars for 5x matte white.

I have all the AE86 models, I'm looking for any LVL Ticket, PM me if you're interested :)

I can do 5 matte white for the regular ae86 black n white toyota corolla one i like the other ones but not nearly as much.

Do we use some kind of 3rd party to trade or how does this work? I also dont know if im allowed to gift 5X paint, isnt it like 3 paint and 1 car a day limit for gifting?

Also whats an LVL ticket?

Seems like you´re realy new to GT5. welcome! :D

First you have to send a Friend request (FR) to the user you like to trade with.
If the FR is accepted you can trade in GT5.
You can trade 1x car, 5x paints, 5x museum cards, 5x tuning parts per day. gears are not limited.
Your gift box limit is 50 items.

lvl tickets: you get a Level ticket for completing a Level (Beginner Races...)

Hope that helpes... :)

By the way, I also got every AE86 you´re searching for. ;)

Thanks :D

So there's a trading section in the game? I have to go find it.
I'm not completely new to the game. I use to own GT3 had GT5 Prologue but i always sucked at it.

Over the past month I've been getting the hang of playing this game with all the assists off and using my Fanatec racing wheel. God do i hate their shifter. Wish i could use the Logitech shifter with Fanatec's wheel.

Just stuck to practice mostly till a few days ago when i was actually good enough to win some events. Ive done quite a lot of b spec too.

I just haven't sat down and explored all the features in game yet lol.

So are you looking to trade the AE86 or just wanted to mention it? If your willing to trade for it what could i trade you? I don't have a lot to offer, i have a lot of money saved up and some rare paint.

For trading, you just had to press the triangle symbol on the controller if you are on any object and then you can send it to your friends.

I´ve sent you a FR.
If you accept, I send the first AE86 the next days.

wish you fun and train your skill. :)

Sorry im quite confused, i havent logged on today was about to go to bed.

So technically there is no way to trade, but there is gifting. So wouldnt people be using 3rd party trades so that ppl dont get screwed? Or do we have such a friendly community that everyone trusts each other?

I appreciate the car, ive been running b spec like crazy and have more money then i could spend. I could buy a bunch of crazy cars but i figure ill hold onto the cash and go through my cars and cash one car at a time.

I barely tamed FF cars a few days back and havent had a chance to practice up on 4WD, still not sure whether i wanna start using 4WD or FRs first. Im always spinning out in FRs. I need a good solid car that will teach me to control my throttle better. Most the FRs i have are just really hard to handle or just have way too much power and i suck at tuning.

As for the trade how are we going about this? Your gonna gift me the car and then ill gift you what exactly? Or am i gonna gift you something, and ull gift me the car?

Yeah, mate, you´re right. It´s only gifting.
I had about 50 "trades" and no problem. Sometimes people are a bit slow in answering, but always no problem.

It´s a good decision, not to change the cars every minute.
Just get used to one car and try to learn how it handels.

I always prefer FR cars. Some cars are more like a wild ride, but if you have a car that fits your drivingstyle it´s so much fun.
FF cars are good to start with, 4WD too.
To learn the FR´s I think the AE86 is a very good car. It´s not to powerfull, good to control and fun!

We go this way:
The FriendRequest is already sent.
I put you some nice FR cars online (AE86 slightly tuned, Supra RZ stock, 350Z slightly tuned, S2000 slightly tuned, BMW 135i slightly tuned). So you have a chance to testdrive them.
On 24th I send you one AE86.
I don´t know exactly what car I want... I have so many cars... I need some Ferraris, but a used car I don´t have, would be much better. :)

EDIT: One question: you said, you´re learning to drive at the moment. That means, you want to drive fast laps? At this moment, I was thinking about the cars I would share with you and all I was thinking, was drifting...
So I will put the cars online and give you a short instruction here for every car.

Yeah i cant drift at all. Just been messing around with the Trueno with a controller instead of my racing wheel and I love the thing. I can actually whip the back end out and control it on some of the turns. I've never had that much control with any other FR car I've used so far.

I'm about to give it a go with my racing wheel and then ill try ur other cars out. Im basically looking for good learning platforms for everything GT5 racing related. I wanna be able to do it all, but I've always loved drifting more than anything else.

I think I'm either gonna start using the Trueno as my next car, either that or the lancer Evo X. Gonna use the Red Bull X2010 to get used to really high speeds, and at some point ill start using my Silvia spec R S15.

Just lemme know if u want me to put together a list of any of the used cars ive purchased, or if there's anything in the dealership you want. I can also list my paint chips, I just got a color shifting purple the other night.

Hi,

now I have 5 cars online for you.
- Mazda MX5
- Toyota Supra
- Toyota AE86
- BMW 135i (black)
- BMW 1er tii (yellow)

So, first try the Mazda MX5 (I think all stock). It´s light weight and low powered. Handling is more understeer or neutral, but if you want oversteer, you can push it hard for some drifts.
Second car you should try is the Toyota Supra (all stock). It is more powerful then the MX5 and much heavier.
If you´re not to hard at the throttle it is nice to handle and very good to drive. Also good controllable with oversteer.

My testtrack was the deep forest track. Try to push the supra a bit and let me know your best lap time! :)

The BMW´s are more aggressive at the rear tires.

The AE86 is just for fun and testing.

I will answer later again on your post.
Don´t drive the X1! It´s way to fast!!!

Yeah, the Trueno is the best car in the world!!! :) Keiichi Tsuchiya called it a "low-power-car" and I think this is maybe the best to learn.

A good learning platform? You mean a forum or a good car?

If you want to drift, do you know the video "Drift Bible" with Keiichi Tsuchiya? This is an excellent video showing the different drift techniques, on different cars.

If you want you can put a list together. Maybe there is a car I need. :)
I should update my "mygranturismo-carlist"...
I already have all Paint chips (chrome, matte and color shift)
You can look if you have some museum cards I don´t have. That would be very nice.

I don't know anything about museum cards. I really appreciate the gift. Ill try n come up with a list of all my cars u might be interested in that I've been collecting. It may take a few days tho, I have a lot going on in my life at the moment.

As for a platform yeah a good car to learn with. I love the AE86 but I think it would be better for me to go from FF to 4WD then to FR. So far I found the Lancer Evo X to be my favorite 4wd learning platform. As for FR I cant get enough of the Trueno i just wish it had a tiny bit more power.

I'll give your cars a try and I'll try to remember to give you lap time(s). I usually tend to always use the Nurburgring Nordschleife for practice and learning cars. But I'll give deep forest a good run. Been needing another track since a lot of the Nurburgring is straights and wide turns.

Ive got a nice basically stock NA MX5, as well as a suped up NA MX5 that I got used to a while back but I haven't used it in ages.

Ill also be checking out that vid, I appreciate all the info and help you've given me.

The best thing for the list would be, if you create a mygranturismo account. So we can compare what we have.
But please, no hurry!!!

Bit more power in the Trueno should not be the problem.
I have some trades the next day´s, but, I think, on 1st of September I can send you another AE86 as a gift!

Try the Supra! It´s realy good! I´ve just read something in the drifting forum and they said, the Supra is a perfect drifter, even in stock!!!
AE86 and Supra should be in every drifters garage... :)

I think the Nordschleife is a bit to hard to learn a car!
Do you know the Nordschleife or are you learning this track as well?

A good, flat track is Tsukuba, easy to learn but never to easy to drive.
Deep Forest is just fun and with the little bumps harder to drive with a FR car.
Also Trial Mountain is a very good and challenging track.
For drift training I always use the Autumn Ring Mini.

You´re welcome. It´s fun helping you a bit! :)

Glad to hear it :D

Yeah i need to give the supra a thorough going thru. As for Nordschleife i think its easy lol. At first it was hard, but id say 90-95% of the time I've spent driving in the game is on that track. I just love it so much, it has everything. Its just a bit slow at times when it comes to using low powered cars so i tend to use my favorite tracks from the Lupo races in A spec. Or is it the FF a spec races? Its not the baby level a spec, but the next one up, and in there, there's is a 2 race event that is either specific to FFs or Lupos.

Sorry for funky grammar, when i read the sticky in one of the sub forums i felt like the grammar nazis were coming to get me. I hope that's not that case and i can be lazy with my grammar as long as its legible and not a wall of text.

Whats a mygrantruismo account? Ill go google it after this post and probably find out. But i have like 50% of my cars on other accounts. I started doing the B spec grinding from my computer so i can earn money with my alt accounts and so ive purchased a lot of cars on the other accounts and had so much money saved up. Since i share this game in a sense with my friends, i let them get what ever they want on my account. So my friend came back to town after his vacation and i let him buy the 2010 F1 Ferrari, so now i need to grind my b spec some more to get the money.

Glad to meet someone so helpful and friendly, i find it very rare to come across people like you. I went from PC gaming to console gaming back to PC gaming. Now im all over the place with my gaming, but a lot of the console gaming crowd seems to be packed full of ignorant assholes. And the gaming community in general in my opinion from what I've come across is either very lazy or very selfish so you rarely see people going out of their way to help people out like your doing, or like i like to do.

So is deep forest that small course that's basically... a deep forest lol. Its a small track with a big crest quite a few tight turns, a tunnel, and a road that's on a cliff side i believe? I love tskuba and i should use it more I don't know why I'm so reluctant to go there. I guess i feel like i get into a groove and memorize the track too fast so i feel like i hit a learning wall.

Maybe I upload a Video of my Supra-Drift-Attempt this weekend.
Nordschleife -> Easy? You´re funny mate! It´s just the hardest racetrack in the world…
Nordschleife is also my favorite track AND I think, 9 years ago, I was driving 2 laps on this track in REAL! :) That was fun.
But it´s a dangerous thing too. Everybody can drive laps on that track, so there was me with my little Corolla and some Porsche, Corvettes and Bikes… You always have to look in your mirror and go out of the way of any faster car. But in one corner I catched a Mitsubishi Evo, maybe he run out of fuel, had wet pants or something else…
I was saying before I get on the track: “just drive it, save and slow…” but for me that doesn´t work. You can´t go on a racetrack and drive it slowly, even if any lap costs you money. I just started cutting the corners, braking later, accelerate from the apex … It was real fun and my 75kw Corolla was fast enough for the first testdrive! :)
Some years later, with my AE86 I didn´t had the opportunity to travel to Nordschleife… :/

Your grammar is ok. I have more fear if you read my grammar… I think I stumble my English with german grammar…

With the mygranturismo account you can manage and list everything you have. Cars, gears, museum cards, tickets…
Look in my sig for the links to my garage, museum cards and gears. :)
Only the garage is not up to date.
I was looking in my garage and maybe you have an Aston Martin I don´t have, that would be great. :)
I try to get every car… doesn´t matter with miles or switches…
My second account is for b-spec grinding too. And for sending museum cards I need.

Thank you, I´m always helping if I can and it´s fun with you. I think it´s always difficult to find good and reliable people in the web.
I also went from PC gaming to console, just for GT5. I said to my self, it´s cheaper to buy one console and don´t tune my PC every year and most games are on PS3 too…
But there is only GT5 on the console… no other simracing game… NFS Shift2 is not very good, Dirt 3 and some others are all disappointing me.
So, for simracing my PC is waiting for me. :) (GTR2, GTL, LFS, Rfactor, …)
I don´t have that much experience in communities or teams or something. Most of the time I race for my self, just to have fun. There was a time, I was very good at LFS and I was online every time.

YES you´re right it´s basically a deep forest. :D And you believe right! Very good and very challenging track.
To use Tsukuba more, you can drive the 4h-Roadster-Race or the 9h-Tsukuba-Race… I think that´s enough Tsukuba… :)
It would be so nice to have a good togue track.

I wouldnt necessarily say that nordschleife is easy. I just find it to be a very nice course to learn on. Im not amazing at it, but i have the course memorized, and just keep getting better when im on that track. I just love how many different turns there are on there.

Yeah i care now about my grammar than i ever have but that doesnt mean i use proper grammar lol. I just dont want any grammar nazis gettin on my ass because im not using punctuation.

A few days back i got my cars all listed up on mygranturismo, idk why i stayed up so late doing it. You said no rush, but i just felt i had to get it done in one sitting lol.

The problem now is, i have no clue how to let you see my mygranturismo garage. I cant find a specific link that allows me to share my info with other ppl.

Go this way:

Log in to your mygranturismo account.
On the top are the big blue letters "Garage & Photos of "your name"".
Directly under these letters is written: "Short direct url to this page: http://www.mygranturismo.net/xxxxx"
This is the link I need!
:)

I have the Initial D AE86 tuned with 255 HP/9,900RPM with Engine Stage 3 and Racing Exhaust and I got a stock AE86 Trueno in High Tech Two Tone.
Keiichi Tsuchiya inspired me with Drifting that most of the techniques work! Dori Dori!

Hey guys sorry for the late response, been having some bs goin in my life.

Anyways heres the link to my garage. Ive purchased a few new cars and plan to buy quite a few more soon if i dont wind up passing out lol. Gonna try out a really light 4wd setup to mimic what ive been doing with my rc car lol.
http://www.mygranturismo.net/27539

I wish i had my apex book right now so i could look up both AE86 cars.
I would check the one i have in the game right now, but i dont have anything setup and i dont plan to hop on the game for another hour or so have, have work i gotta get done.

So can someone remind me which AE86 i have and dont have?

I also was wondering about gifting cars, since your gifting the car as a ticket basically, dont you not get any of the upgrades when you claim the car? Or do upgrades transfer over to the new owner of the car?

-Thanks

lol, thanks for the friendly welcome, were u just poking around the forum or did the title catch ya?

sry my phone just broke and i wanted to understand the names of these cars since its quite confusing. i like these cars cuz of the manga/comic book called initial d. in the book i read that he drives a levin trueno ae eighty six which was a toyota corolla. so where do the names levin and trueno come from. and what is difference between the two u gifted me i thought they had the same names, i noticed one could have a spoiler and more tuning/upgrading done to it. im also assuming that ae eighty six a model number or something like that

Yes, it´s the tuned version with the carbon fiber hoof.
I check it on your mygranturismo.
First I will update my mygranturismo and then I do the wishlist. :)

No worries, I know, you´re not the one who forgets about a little GTP-Friendship. :)

You are right, AE86 is the model number. In japan and US there was also an AE85 with less power and/or automatic... :yuck:

I could explain the whole car to you, but I don´t want to write my fingers bloody, just read the wikipedia article and you will know everything! :)

The difference:
"The Levin and Trueno were generally identical, apart from fixed, rectangular headlights on the Levin and pop-up headlights on the Trueno."

This was mine:
