How many of you would be interested in a Race Night/Event where we would race with traffic?
Unfortunately there is no way to add AI traffic cars to the lobby so any cars used as traffic will need to be cars that a human has entered into the lobby and then Auto Drive would take over.
The event would go something like this:
Approximately 1/4-1/3 of the players in the lobby would be randomly selected to be traffic cars, those selected would change their cars to one of the traffic cars with it's original tuning. All of those traffic cars will be set to the back of the starting grid. And once the race starts the drivers of those cars will set the cars to Auto-Drive/Ghost. The traffic cars would be large, slow cars (VW Sambabus, Toyota Alphard, Toyota Himedic) that would stay together in a pack and provide some traffic for the racing cars as they are lapped.
The settings for these races would include damage and possibly car collision penalties in order to ensure that racers make their best attempts to avoid crashes. The length of these races would be set to so that each participant averages 15-20 minutes as a traffic car & 40-45 minutes as a racer.
Each event would use different tracks and different cars all of which would be chosen by the group racing.
