I do not want to drop 150$ on the 900 degree wheel.

Does anybody know of any good 3rd party wheels under 80$?

Look, I bought my thrustmaster digital 2 usb wheel for the pc for $60 and it is awesome, with 1024 increments for the steering and 255 increments of sensivity for the pedals.

Wonder if there is any good wheels out there. Madcatz wheel I think just has 6 increments of sensivity, could be wrong. Need help

DON'T go cheap. Overstocked.com has DFP's at $80usd. Believe me it's worth it.

I'm guessing DFP is the 900 degree wheel...i'm having troulbe finding it there

Well, I'm not trying to be cheap... I just know that I can get a decent wheel for ALOT less then 150$..my 60$ thrustmaster wheel for my pc is a good example

If all fails I may just get the older GT wheel, I dont need 900 degree rotation or a stick shifter

The DFP is worth every penny, what you think is decent isn't the DFP is a new standard in wheels.

IMO - the wheel that came out with GT3 , " logitech force feedback " is the best value for money , and to be fair there isnt much difference than with the new wheel .the only real difference is the degrees of turn .And IMO the turn will be more realistic but , not really needed to enjoy GT on a wheel

Ive had my logitech since GT3 came out , and i have used and abused it & its still going strong .

the last time i saw one of these wheels for sale was in argos for (approx ) £40:00
and IMO thats a snip . 👍

The feedback on the DFP is better too and although I haven't had extensive use of both the DFP seems more sold, no the the DF isn't though.

Okay, maybe I haven't tried enough other wheels to pass final judgment on this, but the DFP is just so much better than any other wheel I've used.

Yeah and the wheels I was talking about probably wouldn't work with GT4. :dopey:
You would need to race with the driving aids anyway because you don't use a DFP.

Logitech Driving Force(the first one). It's an excellent buy, I haven't even considered the DFP.

I bought mine for $120 canadian.

True, there are great wheels around,

But, you want them to make advantage of the things that PD & Logitech developed, so it will have to be the DFP.

Personally I do not regret my old GT Force getting dusty after upgrading to DFP. It is great with GT4'Prologue!!! 👍

DFP every time, feels more solid than any iv tried, and just plain better! as Live4Speed said its worth every penny. if your not useing it your not getting 100% out of gt4, simple as that

the dfp is much better then the df that came with gt3. I own both, and with the first df, i just couldnt do my laps as fast as with the regular ps2 controller, meaning my DF and the cockpit i built for it quickly started gathering dust.
Now with the dfp its a whole different story. It is really as good as people say it is, especially if u have a cockpit.

I dont have the old DF anymore, but i think it was mentioned that the steering assist is still in force when you use it to compensate for the short range of movement, therefore the steering input is not directly related.

The DFP however provides everything you need.
The full range of movement with direct input, as well as feeling the weight and grip level for your car.

DFP is the only way to fully experience GT4 physics engine to the full.
No other wheel comes close. support for other wheels is expected to be limited.

DFP. its $100 on amazon. NEW!

or you can get a refurbished one for $70. or less on ebay.

unless you want it to play other games not GT4. then get other.

also, not yet mentioned in this thread. its 100% compatable with PC's for some live for speed / GTR action... i pity the people buying inferior wheels....

Thank you.

Edit~

Has anyone seen this wheel? http://www.act-labs.com/Products/forcers.htm

Unfortunately, it's been discontinued since I last saw it. Like two years ago, lol. But I was always intrigued by how it looked, the shifter, and the clutch especially.

It probably could be found on Ebay or something to that effect. I'm just curious as to what anyone knows about it.
