Hey Everyone,

Good to meet you all here on GTPlanet.

I have been a longtime follower of this site and the GT Series of course.

Having only recently purchased GT6 + a G27 wheel / pedal set, and being fairly new to the world of online racing, I am looking to make some connections and do some races / free runs from time-to-time.

Unfortunately, I haven't had much success with the casual racing lobbies, as I always want to race / drive sensibly, and frequently come across players messing around driving backwards / hacked cars etc.

If you fancy a race sometime, or even have a spare space available at a practice / free run session, please let me know, would be good to have some more serious options available.

My work requires plenty of travel, and so it is difficult for me to commit to leagues on a regular basis.

I look forward to meeting with you online in the near future!

@noisetanks I am in somewhat of the same boat. I don't race online as much as I would like to because I work a lot, have a 3 year old and a wife and only one TV so my time is limited and at very random intervals. I also seem to run into the hacked cars and people who are randomly driving about the track causing mayhem.

I will free up some room on my friend's list and get rid of all the GT5 bspec grinders that are still on there so you can join. Maybe we can get some races in some time soon.

I'd invite new members to join ITC-B, with the link in my signature. We want beginners for our "Am" category. The series is aimed at bringing together the fastest of the fast guys from ITCC and throughout GTPlanet, and allowing them to get to know the new guys. :) We're all clean, non-aggressive drivers; but, yes, we have exceptionally close racing.

Feel free to check it out if you'd like.

@stuff1138 - Good to meet you here! Glad I am not the only one working with unreliable schedules! Please add me as a friend, and I will catch you when you are next around!

@MRTeam - Thank you for your invite. Unfortunately, I won't be able to join you guys on Thursday evening as I am based in the UK and therefore the race would start around midnight my time. Please add me on PSN though, might catch you on a weekend sometime.

@ITCC_Andrew - Thanks, will be sure to take a look at your events soon, sounds pretty cool!

@noisetanks I will as soon as I can. Probably tonight. What is your psn id? EDIT: Okay I'm dumb...I've got it and will try to add you tonight.

So here is my shameless plug. You might be interested in our GT3 series: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...p-s2-sign-ups-open-gt3-replicas-added.311139/

We are getting ready for our second season which will have 3 classes: Pro, Am and Gentlemen. So there will be a class where you will find close and clean racing appropriate to your own pace as we will grade drivers in those 3 classes.

Thanks pyrates, I will be sure to keep your GT3 series in mind, need to do plenty of practicing to get to an acceptable level!

Hey noise, be sure to check out my events I'll be posting in this section. They'll run on 3pm EDT (UTC-4) which might be around 9pm (give or take) for you on Saturday's. The events allow you to earn points without having to commit to a whole season.

This weekend it's a 12-lap race around the Nurburgring featuring various Lexus IS'. No tuning is allowed so you won't need to worry about setting up your car, and there's four classes to pick from for every event (sometimes 3), so you'll hopefully always have a car to race.

Next weekend (July 5th), it'll be a 2-hour VLN race, and the weekend after that there will be a Vintage Le Mans race.

Hey Snaeper,

Thanks for your reply, your events look fantastic! I was really looking forward to entering the Nurburgring event this weekend, but I am away unfortunately. However, it is great to see so many events coming up, and I will be taking a look at the 2 hr VLN race next weekend, as that sounds perfect for me. Will be in touch soon.

Best

N.

I would LOVE to do that, but I have a huge problem with lag. I guess I could still be involved in some track day events though, just steer clear of everyone and compare lap times? If that's doable then message me on here sometime.

Hi @noisetanks If there is one thing we are not short of here on gtplanet, its choice!

It looks like you already have a good scope of events to pick from, but if you're looking for something that is just "arrive and drive" please feel free to drop into any of the events in my signature links below.

Most of my events will run later on in the evening or sunday nights, as I have young kids.

No commitment required, if your around and want some fun clean racing, you're more than welcome to come along. All we ask is that you send a friend request to the host, as we generally host private rooms (and can also communicate/see if your available through PSN).
If its of interest, I'm sure you will find some competition as we have a good range of drivers.

This invite also extends to any like minded individuals, can always use a couple more to help fill the room up 👍

Hi Noisetanks

If you like classic cars and are free between 17:00-19:00 UK time on Sundays we welcome online racers of all levels including novice. There are normally free spaces for people who aren't free every week. Members are mostly mature in years and wheel users.

Our current championships are:

1.World Classics - a choice of 8 great classics
2.Cobra Ferrari Wars - a reliving of the period between 1963-65 when Cobras battled Ferraris with a supporting cast of Corvettes and E Type Jaguar's
3. One make series - 1962 Lotus Elan's then TVR V8S
4. Senna Tribute - WSR, F3 Car then Lotus 97T

Starting 7th September
1. Historic BSCC - a re-enactment of the 1960's when Ford Galaxies, Hillman Imps, Cortinas and Mini's battled (Buick Special, Renault 8 Gordini and Isuzu Bellett GTR take the first three roles)
2. Ford Ferrari Wars - Re-enacting the period of Ford "Total Performance" when Ford was at war on the track with Chevrolet domestically and Ferrari internationally - Cobras, Daytona Coupes, GT40's, Chaparral 2D, Ferrari P330 and more.
3. One Make Series - Alfa Romeo 1600, Caterham and more

Rally is your thing... I - in real life racing - only do autocross, time attack, rallycross, and rally, because I don't want to damage anything, fight anyone or generally bother anyone with contact, whether it's my fault or not.
