Hi everyone, I'm currently using a DFGT and it's fine mostly, but I want something new. More specifically, I want a working clutch pedal and a real gear shifter, not the sequential one found on the DFGT. Do any of the wheel users here have any suggestions which meet that criteria?

All Depends on your budget, and what you race on. Being that you currently use a DFGT, it is safe to assume either PS3 or PC.

For roughly +-$250, you can get a Logitech G27. It has an h-pattern shifter & clutch pedal.

For slightly more, you can get a Fanatec GT3RS Value pack for $300 after shipping that includes a load-cell brake pedal, and 2 shifters(1 Sequential, 1 H-Pattern) that attache via poles or shifter adapter.

Then if you have more $$$$ to spend, you can get either a Thrustmaster T500RS(does NOT come with shifter, you can purchase the TH8RS for +-$130 more) for +-$500. OR, you can look into the Fanatec ClubSport Wheel. That with Pedals & shifter are +-$900-1,000.

It is a matter of preference from the T500 to CSW. Some like the sharp steering characteristics of the T500 over the smooth of the CSW, or vice-versa. I hope this helps you out!

Well, what's your budget? You have the three options above; G27 - has gear shifter included, T500 - does not have gear shifter included, if you're playing GT5, you'll have to buy the TH8 RS or the Fanatec wheels, which I'm not sure about.

Sorry, I should have specified the platform but yes, I'm looking for a wheel compatible with PC and PS3. I have no budget in mind, it's more about availability for me. I can't buy online because I don't know my address. I really just needed some good wheel suggestions then I can go to the electronics place nearby and see what they can get for me. There are some good suggestions here, thank you everyone. Time to research them.

Well, if your budget allows you to, I would suggest you look for the T500 RS, and TH8RS shifter. I found both, for $728 USD (in total), on Amazon.com.

I haven't used the Fanatec, but I own a G27 and a T500 and they are both great choices. I suggest a T500 if you are a "serious" PC gamer as it is rather expensive, but it is big and strong and has a great feel to it. The G27 is also good, well built, has great compatibility with PS3 games, and it is 1/2 to 1/3 the price, but it is way more than 1/2 to 1/3 the wheel.

lol ok fair enough, back on subject, I have a G27 and it does the job well. It depends whether you can justify the difference between that and a ts500 plus shifter.
