Unfortunately, I don't have the cash to spooge on a top-end wheel. I am however, willing to pay at most £100 ($120?) for a wheel. In that sort of price range I know I'm not going to get something amazing, but rather something that does the job, force feedback is a must, had a wheel without it before, NEVER AGAIN. :ouch:

Any help would be appreciated, ta!

logitech dfgt (PS3 and PC) at that price, if you need compatibility for xbox as well you are out of luck with your budget, only cross platform wheel are the Fanatec and they start at $250 for the wheel only (pedals and H shifter are additional $)

Nah, it's gonna be for my PS3 only, as that's the only console I use.

Are DFGT's sold in retail shops or available by online order only?

Yeah dfgt is a no brainer for this situation unless the g27 could fit within that budget if its still selling for 50% off if you order direct from logitech. I would check on that too. Not sure what that translates into your currency

it's £250 in UK. no 50% deal currently in UK unless OP already has a 50% voucher. there is a 20% trade in program though. but still way above his budget

Yep. Looks like I'll be investing in a DFGT in the next month or so, as even £90 pushes it on my budget.

I remember owning a Logitech Williams F1 TeamForce wheel for the PS2 way back when, that was a brilliant bit of kit. :P

I was considering second-hand but for some reason my gut feeling is heavily leaning towards buying it new. Cheers for all the help though! 👍

plus buying it new gives you a fresh 1 year warranty if anything goes wrong..and Logitech has great customer service :)

The Fanatec on ebay would be a far better wheel than the DFGT, from what I've read. Also I owned a DFGT it's ok...........Given a choice I'd go for A Fanatec

only problem is dfgt has that wobble issue with GT5. From what I understand its a PD fail. I dont think Spec 2.0 fixed this right?

Even the G25 still wobbles, which you feel best with fast cars with stiff suspension on bumpy track like La Sarthe. It's very noticeable with the X2010 and even worse with the X2011 cars.

Then again with 100 pounds being the absolute limit, if he can get a good deal on a DFGT then that's the best thing he can get. And every wheel has its positive and negative points. With cog driven wheels it's just the wobble due to the deadzone. And unfortunately the belt driven Fanatec wheels are way above his budget.

Just get the Logitech Driving Force GT at a good deal and hopefully you keep a few pennies in the pocket that way.

I don't see the wabble as an issue really... Just hold the wheel and don't take.your hands off. It's not like its hard to.resist.

But get the dfgt it is a great wheel
